Edmonton has traded WR Shamawd Chambers to the Tiger Cats for a seventh round pick in 2018 and a fifth rounder in 2019. Selected sixth overall in 2012 and ranked third overall in the CFL draft that year, Chambers has never lived up to his potential.

The 28-year-old pass target played in six of the Eskimos 12 games this season, making four receptions for 40 yards.
Chambers won a Grey Cup with Edmonton in 2015, earning Most Valuable Canadian honours. Overall, he’s played in 70 career games catching 141 passes for 1,543 yards and eight touchdowns. Chambers was drafted in the first round, sixth overall by Edmonton in the 2012 CFL draft, current Ticats general manager Eric Tillman was the Eskimos GM at the time.
The Wilfrid Laurier product has all the physical tools to succeed in the pros. He’s six-foot-three, 219 pounds, 4.42-seconds in the 40-yard dash at the 2012 CFL combine along with a 38.5-inch vertical.
