Manziel hasn't officially signed as of yet, but once he does I think it's only a matter of time before the pressure mounts and Manziel becomes the starter. If he's serious about having his head together and puts in the work, I think he could be really good for the League.

I really believe he will be a model citizen in the league. Glad he signed, but this will be a huge learning curve for him.

Manziel was on TSN Overdrive about a month ago. He surprised me with how much he knew about the league, and he seemed very level-headed. Doesn't guarantee anything, but it was nice to hear.
And I won't believe he has signed until it's officially announced.

I don't think Hamilton will ever reach a Grey Cup with Masoli as starter, but Manziel has just so much to learn. He may beat out Vernon Adams for #2, but realistically unless you are an Argo fan, do you want Manziel starting soon. Originally Posted by Argo57

Is he the best qb in the cfl right Now?
Of course not.
But he immediately becomes the biggest name in the league.

Manziel didn't come here to hold a clipboard for 2 years, if he hits the books and is serious about playing and going back to the NFL, I doubt it'll take much to surpass Adams. I'm more than a little confused as to why some are so high on Adams.

Adams has a very good US college ball resume; looked outstanding in the US Shrine all-star game that i saw; plus has flashed some talent in a bit of CFL playing time + built up some CFL roster experience = that's what I go by. Originally Posted by R.J

I hope he has success. Nice to see a high profile player actually want to come and shine some light in Canada. Hopefully he proves the haters wrong and has just enough success to lose the east final at BMO.

The Ticats are certainly on board. There were No. 2 Manziel jerseys hanging in the team store at Tim Horton's Field before the press conference was over and almost two dozen were sold in just the first few hours.
