Not sure what anyone was expecting in terms of Beer selections ? It usually always comes down to sponsorship and pouring rights deals.

No, but MLSE and BMO Field do.

No they are not, but they are owned by Bell and Tanenbaum who own 2/3's of MLSE. MLSE along with BMO field have relationships and deals in place, so odds are some of those will become involved with the Argonauts as well. Yes, they could of chose whomever they wanted, but they obviously didn't and there's probably a financial reason behind it. Copeland stated during his OVERDRIVE interview that odds were the tailgating would most likely involve the bigger brand name beers and that's what ended up happening. I don't see the issue.

INBEV has the pouring rights to BMO; which explains why Bud is sold during the tailgates. I also stated "USUALLY", but I guess you missed that part. I then brought up how Steam Whistle has had dealings with the Argonauts before, so maybe the new regime wanted a local pilsner and as Tbone mentioned you can buy Steam Whistle cans at BMO. Ya, this is as close as you can get to a traditional tailgate while still complying with Ontario liquor laws. BMO Field's beer contract is with ABInBev and here is a list of some of the beers available at BMO Field. I'm not sure if all of those will be available at the tailgate and that is not everything at the stadium. I know Goose Island is also available on draft etc.

No I'm not; it will take a lot more than one, but it just takes one to start the process of going downhill. I really hope people use common sense (does society even know what that is anymore ?) when it comes to the tail gating. It sounds like a great event and $4 a beer is very reasonable.

What are you talking about? The rules state that contraband booze will be confiscated and the vehicle may be refused entry at the discretion of the officials. How does that start any "process of going downhill"?

Goose Island is not on that list and I know they have it on tap in the south end. Not all the beer aviliable at BMO Field is on that list and they don't sell all the brands at every kiosk. That's why I said:

Well if someone is successful at smuggling in booze and tells someone else it snowballs and then before we know it security is tearing everyone's car apart and slowing down everyone's entry.

Seriously is $4 to much to pay for a beer in Toronto? The money is going to our team and probably doesn't even cover the costs of the Tailgate.

We were impressed with how well the Tailgate was organized and run. To be honest it was more fun than the Preseason game.

I think that they could improve it by having it start earlier, especially for weekend and holiday games. And my wife thinks that they should have an Ice Cream Truck on site.

I've heard that from quite a few people now - earlier starts on the weekends. Makes sense as it gives more time to cook and just enjoy the experience.

Yeah we got there around 1:15 and were set up and starting to BBQ around 1:30. Last call was 3:15 and we started to pack up around 3:30 so the time flew by!
