How are we all celebrating this new era of Argo football?

Hard to believe we are less than a week away from our first game in what should be a great new home. I have the sense a lot of folks are planning to really make going to games an event, whether it means tailgating, wandering around the fan zone, or other new game-day rituals.

For my part, I am planning to wear a different jersey (with matching-vintage hat) to each game. #9games9jerseys since I have to miss one home game. Up first, a 1978-era Terry Metcalf jersey. Can't wait!

We went all in this season, doubled our Season Tickets to 4 and bought the Full Season Tailgating Parking Pass and the Preseason Game Tailgating Parking Pass and some Tailgating gear from Canadian Tire and Walmart. We also bought a bunch of Argonauts clothing on clearance online from Lids and Reebok.

Shame on you Gabe. How can one possibly think of a trip to Europe over the Argos.

It's us vs the rest of the country

I'll try to get to as many games I can on the weekends and holidays. I am most looking forward to standing up and cheering for something as simple as a great run stop. I am looking forward to a lively crowd, who isn't afraid to cheer rather than golf clap after a great play. Having a true home field feel and advantage, creating that is how I will celebrate.

Well since we are sitting with new folks rather than our regular neighbours not sure if I will go back to always the opposing team jersey(other than Deadmonton, HATE Deadmonton.) That was fun year. Or just US based teams from the 90's and see who notices.
And just to kick it off hoping it rains like hell for first game to just to get acclimatized.

I don't mind the rain, if any hits me in my seat. I'll take some ponchos, just in case for the pre-season game and see where the rain hits.

Sense of humour folks. Everyone has a different idea of their tradition and how to celebrate it. Mine is having fun and if not getting a reaction at least confusing the others around us. And yes I have done both of those examples above.
Die hard Stampeders ( if you couldn't tell.) fan who has had season tickets here for 10 years and before that in Montreal and when they didn't have a team drove to Ottawa to games when they did.
If we can't share a poke at each other without being disrespectful then the league is in trouble. Fans are what keep it going beyond everything else.

By the way... thought that huge blue emoticon might let you know my perspective.

Actually I'm hoping to celebrate by the Stamps maybe finally winning in Toronto because we usually ended up sucking at Skydome.

Looking forward to meeting the new neighbours beginning Saturday.

Ok now it makes more sense. I'm married to a long time Stamps fan. She was almost born at McMahon. They've become my second favorite team since the late 90's when we became a couple. Many great people in Edmonton I just don't like the team.

I think it was more confusion than anything. Welcome aboard. And I appreciate the humor/sarcasm.

How are we all celebrating this new era of Argo football? Smiling all season long, considering what the Argos went through last year off the field.
