Below is a story on rookie QB Terrell Pigrome who had two running TDs, including one for 45 yards, in the Bombers 25-23 win over the Elks.

Former Argo QB Zach Collaros with 24,701 yards has surpassed CFL legend Russ Jackson in passing yardage and now is only 492 yards behind former Argo QB Conredge Holloway, who is in the Canadian Hall of Fame, in 21st place.
Full props the Lions especially Matthieu Betts, who has turned into an all star. Having said that, the Bombers line, and Stanley Bryant in particular, looked really old and slow last night. ZC was sacked 6 times. That's usually a third of the season numbers for them.

Former Argo QB Dakota Prukop re-signed with the Bombers on Monday after playing in the USFL.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manit...back-1.6890194The CFL club signed the veteran American quarterback to a one-year deal Monday. Prukop returns to Winnipeg after dressing for four games this season with the USFL's New Jersey Generals.
Prukop completed 31 of 50 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns with the Generals while rushing for 97 yards and a touchdown.
Prukop spent last season with Winnipeg, rushing for six touchdowns and passing for two others. Prukop has appeared in 61 career CFL games with the Toronto Argonauts (2017-19), Edmonton Elks (2021) and Winnipeg.
The Bombers also released American quarterback Tyrrell Pigrome.
Watching them against BC, they looked slow and old. They may rally as sometimes happens with an ageing veteran team, but if not this year, then next year there will have to be a lot of changes before the Old Man Time wins, as he always does, in the long run. Or to put it more succinctly, as John Maynard Keynes did when other economists said the economy would improve without any government intervention in the long run, he replied "In the long run, we're all dead."
Dru Brown and Adam Bighill both just lost their fathers as the season continues. Brown talks about what it meant to him below.

The Bombers have released DB Brad Muhammad who started 16 games for Calgary in 2022 where he had 50 DTs and 5 ST tackles, 10 pass knockdowns, one tackle for a loss and two INTs.
Winnipeg looked rather listless in the first half of their win over the sad sack Elks, raising further questions about whether age is catching up with them.
The Bombers have already sold out the Banjo Bowl.
Well, that was a cubbering last night. I've said this a lot this season, but the schedule maker has no clue. That's the 4th time team coming off a bye has played a team plating their 2nd game in 5 days, and predictably, the team ff their bye has won all the games quite handily. I get that teams are going to have to play 2 in 5 every now and then, especially with the addition of Sunday games, but they should not be playing a tam coming off a bye in such a scenario. It is a huge competitive imbalance.
It's us vs the rest of the country
I completely agree, AV. The only good news is that this problem should pretty much disappear by September when the Thursday and Sunday games disappear from the schedule, but it's something that needs to be kept in mind for next year when the summer schedule is once again drawn up.

I heard a podcast about the incredible lengths the NFL goes to in scheduling. It seems evident the CFL puts in only a fraction of the effort and analysis. Scheduling is obviously tricky with an uneven number of teams, some buildings with multiple tenants, a broadcaster with specific demands and other factors, but there is no doubt whatsoever that the CFL could be scheduled much, much better than it has been in recent years.

For the record, the Argos will face three teams coming off a bye in the second half of the season: at Wpg Sept. 29, vs. Edm Oct. 5, and at Ott Oct. 28.
