The Toronto Argonauts announced on Tuesday that the team has released international defensive end, Michael Buchanan.

Buchanan was signed to the team’s practice roster on July 20, 2016.

The Argos definitely needed to upgrade on Larry Taylor so that is no surprise.
Wallace Miles being released must mean that one or two of the injured receivers are certainly ready to return.
I don't understand that Jerald Brown was brought back.
Kevin Bradfield is released for maybe same reason as Wallace Miles, but perhaps he got pushed out by Llevi Noel?

Kevin Bradfield is released for maybe same reason as Wallace Miles, but perhaps he got pushed out by Llevi Noel?

I think Brown was brought back because we had no other healthy backup DBs last week. Hope this means someone like Rankin or Mitchell (or Gabriel, please) is coming back this week.

Bradfield has way less potential than Jones, so his release or demotion was probably inevitable. I was surprised we dressed both (as well as Noel) last week. Bradfield always struck me as just a STer, but not one who was ever going to develop like his almost-namesake Bradwell.

They were all added to the non-active list, so they'll go to the PR or IR.

I am still holding out hope that big Malcolm Williams, who has spent the season on the PR will somehow see the field this season.

I don't know how all these DB's are getting hurt. Except for Gabriel there aren't any big time hitters IMO. Maybe it's from getting tied in knots trying to cover.

Being the nail, rather than the hammer is never a good choice.

Adrian McPherson and Larry Taylor have been released. Both were not on the opening day roster and always seemed like "fill-ins" and so this does not surprise me. While Taylor has been serviceable, much more is needed out of the return game.

No huge surprise. Taylor's career peaked 3-4 years ago. I'm actually surprised we brought him in.
