    Solid ownership

They paid for the team to stay in Regina for what? 6 days? 5 days?

With hotel rooms and food, that had to be a heck of an expense. Tip of the cap to them for shelling out probably an extra $40-$50K to do that.

They did it last year as well if I recall correctly.
And that was under Braley's ownership!

yeah in fairness Braley did similar a year ago. But you're correct, doing what it takes to win is always nice to see. Let's see over the next few home games but I'm loving it so far this year.

Yeah, great to see. But in all fairness to Braley, they've done this quite consistently since 2012, either coming to BC earlier than normal or staying away for an entire week.

Yes, a good move . BC has always had an advantage ove eastern teams with the timezone differential. Should make for a good game.but BC wont be a pushover, they have some talent. Bc players dont play for Buono, they play in fear in spite of him. Poor leader. Who is he gonna fire when they lose? Another Popp whose time should be up.

Didn't realize Braley also did this (which is quite shocking), so props to him as well.

You are wrong about players not wanting play for Wally and play hard. It is true that Wally is very demanding of his players, however most top notch veteran players are very demanding of themselves so they support a coach who is demanding of everyone and treats the players like men, expecting them to take responsibility for everything they do.

100% agreed on this. Players like Geroy Simon realize how great Wally pushing them was for their career, and that is likely why Wally has always been successful.
It's us vs the rest of the country

I think the difference between the two years is whether the team took the full roster of players to include the PR squad?

The PR squad are there for the road trip. There was hardly anyone on the PR last year.

In regards to financials. I can see it's costing around $30 000 to fly the whole team home on long weekend ($400+ a head) The flight to Vancouver from Sask is probably half the price from Toronto, so there's another $15 000 or so. The added cost to stay out West is not that substantial, (even done in the Braley cheap era) and they get added bonuses in team building, unofficial longer practices and time zone adjustment.
