I don't think Burris wants to play anywhere else at this stage of his career. He has moved his family there and lives year round there. He has done a lot as the face of this new team. He wants to be on this team as they host the GC next year and call it a career after that. He and Harris are playing at MOP levels. It is a nice problem to have. Ottawa is crazy to trade either one. For the next season and a half they can make it work.
GO ARGOS!!!
On the one hand, it's easy to expect Burris, near the end of his career, just to take the path of least resistance, relax and stay settled in Ottawa for less money as backup. On the other, he'd lose about 2-3 hundred grand by doing so.
But where would he be wanted / needed? Nowhere he'd be dealing from anything like a full deck, i.e., Winnipeg or Montreal (Popp is probably gone if he flubs this season, so he may try resorting to "miracle weapons" for his salvation, like Adolph.)
I suspect Burris would stay put in Ottawa.

I couldn't believe it when I heard it this morning. I was so done from working in that heat that I crashed at 8:30. I haven't seen the play yet but he a reckless. It was just a matter of time.
Wow, if true this is definitely the Argo curse for the second year in a row.
Also for the second year in a row a former team QB was having a MOP year when injured.
I know I've been outspoken about how much I believe Harris is or isn't the key to the RedBlacks success, but I hope he's OK. Ido like him. I' m just not sold on him being the next great CFL QB.
It's us vs the rest of the country
Ray knows that slow and steady wins the race.
