Like the rest of us, Diane Clemon's level of frustration overcame her. She also is in the unique position of helping the new young players and their wives acclimate to Toronto and probably took it very hard when the boom was recently lowered on them. I think she has calmed a bit and reflected and recently tweeted:
My #beloved @TorontoArgos #keepyourheadsup we still #LOVE you and the #ORGANIZATION #weareone #TEAM #TOGETHER #BLEED #DOUBLEBLUE #FOREVER

Is the thread title even a question anymore ?
The Drew Willy trade alone should ensure that Barker and Milo are shown the door.
Isn't there any concern that the damaged goods called the Argos could be further harmed in the subsequent two weeks?
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
Milanovich seems to have no idea how to improve the team. The players would appear to have stopped playing for him. I have always been adverse to firing a coach during the season but desperate times demand desperate measures. A scenario I'd like to see, is Milanovich released immediately and hopefully Pinball persuaded to take the helm as an interim coach for the rest of the season. This would also allow Pinball to get a good handle on which players should be retained for next year--his advice and input would invaluable to next year's coaching staff. Then senior management can take their time going after the best candidate(s) for the coaching/general manager for next year. Will this occur---probably not but we can always hope!
The rebuild for 17 has already begun. (with the trade) You folks are just not accepting what you see right in front of you.
As for the tweets. It's probably hard to see some certain players cut but she doesn't hang out in the locker room. So she only knows their behaviour away from the team. Much like the neighbours of serial killers that say the guy was so nice. ;-)
Fire Scott. No other choice. Guys stopped playing for him and it took him and JB 14 weeks too cut the 4 drunks who caused issues. Unacceptable start the rebuild
Paul I love your optimism, and you raise good points while pointing to the past, that this franchise has survived over just add severe conditions as the present. But the present isn't the past. While I have confidence in the the deep pockets of the current owners, I don't have confidence of their long term commitment. If things go south, not saying they are but they certainly aren't presently going north, how long does these guys hang on? If you don't believe that is a concern you have taken a swig from the kool-aid. It's always a concern until it isn't. And you or anyone else can't convince me otherwise until it isn't.

Paul, we're all beyond frustrated at this point. I believe that there isn't one of us here that wouldn't love to be proven wrong and wished that the Argos had started a winning streak four weeks ago. Right now we'd be debating whether to rest players. and were just fine tuning for the post season.
But for the Argos to play so deplorably in such an important season is hard to swallow. I am thankful for this forum, as I am pretty sure I am saving thousands on psychotherapy this season.
Concurrent with the decline of interest in the Argos, I also mourn the end of print media. As a young man, we rushed home to watch game highlights on CTV. Even though sports had 10 minutes in those days, we'd still lead.
The next day we couldn't wait to read the sports section game highlight and speculations from the experts. Telegram, Star were must reads. Today, only The Star has an article on the game.
I can't help but notice the Argos are employing 5 players that were drafted this spring. In addition to all the 1st year CFL players that are in the defensive backfield, this team is just too inexperienced. I like the fact that Barker drafted guys that made the team, but 5 seems like an awful lot.
Looks like the 2 worst teams in the league will be without 1st round picks next year. Both traded for qb's who did not merit that value.
A very thoughtful post. I can't disagree with this. I am as everyone knows a backer of both coach and GM, but I wouldn' t be against change the way things are right now. I don't think Willy is a terrible QB, but I really don't want to go into next season with a QB that lacks confidence as the #1.
