When I was growing up, the Riders were everyone's second favourite team. How times have changed. The Riders have to be the most hated team in the country now and I think that there are many good reasons for that, especially with Ego Jones (to borrow OV's term) running the show this year and showing a flagrant disregard for the rules.

I love Bo and the fire he plays with. We need more guys in the league like him. I bet his comments will be good for at least two or three stupid Rider penalties.

I agree with Ravi that although never my second favorite team many CFL fans had a soft spot for the Green Riders. That changed with all of the cocky Pil Swiggin Tools who just trash the Rider name and the province. Racist as all get out as well. They had their boom and I hope they continue their bust.

Seriously? Where in the collective bargaining agreement are we doing anything wrong? Realize that Bo is spouting off about a 1-5 team. Even if we do have 95 players kickin around town, how much could they really getting paid? Heck, the majority of salary cap players have second careers and jobs in town so why is it such a stretch to believe that these extra players have other vocations?

Apparently, they are breaking many rules within the CFLPA such as the length of practices. Many players aren't happy but are too afraid to speak out. Sounds like Riderville is a mess and the league does need to come down hard on them.

Truth be told no I haven't read the CBA but so far all the accusers have yet to site a reference from the CBA that would find the Riders out of line with the collective agreement. Bo Levi Mitchell didn't point to any specific articles in the CBA, how about media pundits? Crickets so far.

What has riled up a number of people behind the scenes, however, is they’ve been housing them, feeding them, putting them through on-field workouts and even having some of them attend meetings, according to sources.

If the Argos were guilty of something similar, would we as a fanbase accept the wrongdoing or would we do anything we could to defend the organization's actions?

I know I wouldn't go so far as to defending them as much as it seems that Rider fans are defending Jones.
I'm hearing everything like the sources are all wrong, there are no sources, Darell Davis doesn't know a thing since he's never at practice, there is nothing illegal with paying players to be housed etc. I also don't think their local media should be in any position to defend the team or suggest Mitchell be fined.

I agree. Burying 20 guys on the six-game is just a way for teams to get around the SMS. I don't mind the fact that we have finally caught up to others in taking advantage of this loophole but I'd prefer if it was closed.

According to a Zicarelli story a wk or so ago Gordon was truly injured in camp. Pulling him early off the six means we lost the cap savings so it's not a circumvention. Just the opposite, actually.

So long as Gordon was legitimately injured - I have no issue with him being on the 6 game or being taken off early. The Riders have a lot of injuries, but there's no excuse for what they're trying to do.
