IMO the reason Bo was fined was because he exposed the Riders cheating to the public and in so doing embarrassed the CFL who were conducting a slow plodding investigation and did not move to make public or get the Riders to get rid of the 20 man illegal practice squad until Bo went public.

Why did the CFL not immediately shut down the illegal PR as soon as they discovered it and the other cheating violations? The optics from where I sit it looks like the CFL was supervising the violations not investigating the violations.

Bo's fine was a punitive act by the CFL and will ultimately diminish twitter and other social media participation by CFL players and thus lessen the CFL's presence on social media. I can't decide who is more inept the CFL Command Centre, the CFL Commissioner and his Office, or the Cheater Jones coached 1-6 team.

Maybe the CFL was never investigating it, and rather than look clueless on the record said they were after the BLM tweet. Hopefully the fine is something like $100 and not too bad.
It's us vs the rest of the country

In one of the interviews Cheater Jones says that he invited the CFL to a practice which really means he didn't try to bar the CFL official from practice. Reports from 3Down Nation where that the CFL investigation had been going on for a few weeks. Currently the CFL is supposed to be looking into media reports that the illegal players were being paid $300/week and QBs $1000 and housed in 2 houses.

The investigation was already taking place (still is actually), so now the question is: If Bo didn't say anything, would the penalties still have occurred and still as severe (max. fine) ?

Pretty good deal for not actually being on the roster.

Hell, if you are a QB, that's a great deal. Grand a week and free housing.
