    Anyone pulling the doubleheader Saturday?

Going to the Argos game then going to Hamilton that night?

I once did this with K-State and KU games.

One would likely miss part of either game to do both given the drive between stadiums.

For me, one would have to shoot me and drag my corpse to see a game in Hamilton ever again.

    But that's just me.

I have seasons for both teams, but will not be attending the Hamilton game. It simply cannot be done without missing part of the Argo game. It is very rare that the CFL will schedule both teams at home on the same day.

Last August it was possible to do the three Ontario teams in the same weekend, Ottawa played Friday night, the Argos Saturday and Ticats at home Sunday evening.
It's possible to do a Saturday's Jays game at 1PM and a TFC game at 7PM, the timings work out and it happens a few times through the season.
But to get to Hamilton and find a parking spot you would have to leave at the end of the 3rd quarter.

I saw a list once of potential GO Transit expansion stations, and there was a Tim Horton's Field station on the list. (There is a line a few blocks north of the stadium, and talk of extending all-day GO service further down the peninsula.) Wouldn't that have been cool, taking the train directly from one stadium to the other. Alas the THF station didn't make the preliminary cut, but ... some day ... we can dream.

Obviously you couldn't do it this Saturday - the Argos game starts at 4 and ends at about 7 just as the Ticats game is starting. But if it was a 4 PM / 8 PM combo you could almost do it. hmm. Hop on the 6:50 PM GO train at Exhibition, arrive Aldershot at 7:51 PM, take 15 minute cab ride to THF, arrive 8:06....

I will set the PVR for the Hamilton game...I intend on having an enjoyable drive home from BMO Field after an Argo victory.

I have seasons with both teams as well. I've already sold my tickets for the Ticat game through their website. This is the only Ticat home game between July 7th and Labour Day.

My friend in Hamilton offered me a ticket for that game, but there is no chance of getting there in time to make it worthwhile........and besides, the CNE is on, so I'll be sticking around there after the Argo game and trying out all the deep fried food concoctions.

A little surprised that some Argo fans have season tickets for the "hated" Tiger-Cats.

I did last year as well, however my wife noticed my knuckles dragging on the ground coupled with a profound loss of vocabulary so I returned to Toronto.

I normally attend at least half of the Ticat home games, as I just love CFL football. I am a life long Argo fan and never miss a game. The CFL should never, ever schedule the two teams to play on the same day at home.

Things looked so bleak for the CFL in the late 1980's, I bought season tickets for the Argos in 1988 and attended as many Ticat home games as I could starting that same year. I wasn't planning to ever buy season tickets for Hamilton but shortly after the 1994 season ended, then CFL Commissioner Larry Smith said that the Ticats would fold if they didn't sell 12,500 season tickets by the end of the year. They only had 3000 season ticket holders at the time so my friend and I decided to buy season tickets. They managed to sell 16,000 by the end of the year and I've been a season ticket holder ever since.

Now I'm curious how many people who identify as Tiger-Cat fans regularly buy tickets to Argonauts home games (that don't involve the Ti-Cats).

I'm thinking of a doubleheader. Going to the CNE for a while before the Game. lol

The last time I was at the CNE, Eugene Clarke former Argo Offensive Guard, was putting on a cooking display in the Food Building. I think he did some acting also on the side.

Clark has been a prolific actor for the past few decades, since he was released by the Argos in 1978.

I know of at least 5 that I can think of off the top of my head.
I can think of 4 or 5 other Argo fans who have ST's at THF.

No worries, I get it. Funny enough, I'm thinking about getting Ticats seasons next year, I was actually discussing it with someone at the game last week, as he also had season for both.
