No, I realized we were getting later in the week and I didn't have a chance to post the game thread so I asked someone to do it for this week.

love trying to make predictions but have been almost universally incorrect in everything this year. so I'll sit back, hope the beer is cold and that it's a nice day on Saturday.

It sounds like we finally have enough healthy receivers that we can pick and choose who to use. Thank goodness.

Hazelton-Shaw-Elliot-Spencer + Durie as the starters, Jones, Noel, and Coombs as backups, and Wylie as the PR/KR?

I'm picking Edmonton. Trying the reverse psychology method.

Happy to have Hazelton and, at long last Elliot, back. Would hope to see Coombs more involved.

Coombs hasn't done much with his touches this year. I'm more interested in using Durie a bit more.

I cant go because I will have to sleep due to horrid overnight shifts.
So my girlfriend is going to go with her sister.
I'll have to pretend I'm still asleep and watch the game when I wake up so she doesn't spoil it.

The key will be keeping Reilly off balance, with the ends putting pressure and not allowing him out of the pocket where he is even more dangerous with his wheels or throwing on the run.

in line with the last comment I've gotta say I'm not overly impressed with the D-Line play so far this year. Maybe the refs in the backfield are missing some holds (although this always happens) but I thought our DL would generate more pressure this year then I've noticed so far. I could be missing things though! Anyhow getting to Reilly and roughing him up a bit can't hurt any.

Glad to hear Elliott is back as well as Hazelton - That should give Kilgore some open options to hit.

forgot to add - east side looks pretty sparse so far on ticketmaster - wouldn't be ideal for our first Saturday home regular season game. Hopefully they fill it in a bit at least.

I'm curious to see what van Roten's return means for the OL. Does McEwan resume his backup duties, or do we play them both somehow?

Wonder if van Roten can play tackle. I'd love to move CVZ to the guard spot and keep McEwan at centre.

He played some tackle for us last year. I just don't remember if he was any good.

Should be a good turnout for this one too. All the Tailgating passes are sold, none left, as of Monday they sold more then 15,000 tickets. Thinking the game should get over 20,0000

Where did you get the 15k number? If that is correct I would say 17-18 is possible.

I agree with the comments expressed above about the D line. The Argos need to put pressure on opposing QB's and they have not been able to consistently do that, certainly not at BMO. Similarly, the O line has to protect our QB, whoever that is, so that the passing routes can develop. Otherwise, it doesn't matter who is lined up as receivers if the QB is constantly under pressure. I also agree with the comment about getting Andre Durie involved more. He always seems to be able to get additional YAC yards, but is pulled after one or two plays.

As far as attendance, i hope that they get a good walk-up because the East side stands still look half empty. I have found the game day experience has been great, but unless the Argos start to play better at home, and thus generating some excitement, they won't fill the seats with new fans.

We were contemplating this game being a sellout in May! Realistically, anything 20 000+ is awesome in that stadium. They should be able to get that average in a few years with constant marketing, fan engagement (severely lacking this off-season) and winning football. I am going to check out the exhibits, dog show and etc, pre-game and then watch The Hip concert at the Bandshell after. Should be an awesome day, and all included with my ticket. People are really missing out not attending.
