Thank you south end zone fans!

Your enthusiasm, banners, outfits, flags, and noise make BMO a much better place to watch the Argos...even when they lose.

can't disagree - south end was bringing it. I find once someone kick starts things others are more likely to join in. anyhow thought atmosphere was great in the 4th - the on-field performance was another thing...

Defence did a fine job, excluding the last second FG. For the most part I felt that when the crowd got into it, the defence stepped up excluding any penalties that kept the drive alive.

The west stands behind the benches were also very loud. By far the best atmosphere for a football game this year, even better than the home opener vs Hamilton because the game was much more competitive.

Good to hear about the enthusiasm in the south stands.
I'm considering moving my season seat there for next season.

yeah I'm in section 125 myself and I thought the atmosphere behind the bench was fantastic but was holding back b/c I think I'm biased. Regardless it was fun, would have made for a fun home game win too. should've would've could've i guess - onto Monday...

Goes to show that anything over 20 000 makes for a great atmosphere at BMO. Hopefully crowds and the team improves in the fall.

Do you mean if there are over 20,000 fans at another Argos game at BMO?
Attendance for this game was 17,509. And of course, there was a freebie offer of tickets through Argos All Access which likely meant a lot of unpaid seats.

Only the season opener against the Cats was over 20,000.
I believe all other fully paid seats games have been 16,000 or less.

Firstly there wasn't a lot of freebee seats even offered. Secondly you had people able to save 4 seats but not everyone used all the seats they saved. The group I was with had 7 seats but used 3 for example.

So there's a good chance that the 17K was paid attendance + extra freebees that brought the crowd closer to 20K.

Also good for the Argos was that stadium concession pricing was not more expensive than the food offerings at the CNE.

Even watching on TV you could tell the crowd was really buzzing in that game. Hopefully that type of atmosphere kick-starts an attendance upswing. One can always hope.

Outside of the opener, the Montreal an BC games looked okay on TV and the fan enthusiasm was great. The south side in particular looked pretty full for the BC game. I know both games had discounted ticket offers that seemed to impact sales.
