    Thurs Sept. 1 - Ottawa Redblacks @ Montreal Alouettes







    A bit of a boring game. I think Calvillo is in over his head as offensive coordinator of the Alouettes.

    Bloody difficult to fathom why that should be the case, but there is some talent in the Als' offence (but, alas, nothing terribly good happening at QB).

    Good players don't always (usually?) become a good coach, and if I remember correctly: Calvillo never liked calling his own plays when he was playing.

    Kevin Glenn throwing some incredibly bad passes in this game didn't help the play calling at all.

    This was the biggest problem I thought. Glenn had some open receivers but couldn't hit them. He is maddeningly inconsistent.

    but we Argos Faithful will always remember Mr. Glenn for that performance in the 100th Grey Cup.
    certainly Marcus Ball (#6) will remember him well.
    PS any chances for Marcus Ball as an NFL cut this week? we have never replaced him IMO. or maybe Dontrelle Inman? yeah. I'm a dreamer, I know.

    Marcus Ball was cut by the Panthers. We again await to see if he gets signed to their practice squad.

    Dontrelle Inman made the Chargers.

    Wayne Gretzky wasn't a great coach or executive in the NHL either.
