    Furthermore, can Edmonton even afford to lose Franklin at this point? The cupboard is rather bare in Edmonton after Reilly and Franklin.

    Franklin is 6 1/2 years younger than Reilly. If the Esks really REALLY like Franklin, it's not out of the realm of possibility that they'll trade or cut Reilly next year.

    If the Esks stick with Reilly (and I think they will), they can also trade Franklin's rights after the season and before free agency. But they'd be stupid to trade him now. That organization is rarely stupid.

    I thought that Adams played well for them late last season but I have been under the impression that Chapdelaine and Reed don't have much faith in him.
