    Sep. 18: Eskimos @ Roughriders

Eskimos could be in a gnarly mood after two losses to rival Calgary and take out their frustrations on the Riders.

Riders to upset the vastly overrated Eskimos. They have come close twice at Commonwealth. Piece of cake.

I thought about picking the Riders in this one - and may yet change my pick - but I am not convinced that their defence can stop Edmonton's offence. However, if the Riders are going to win another game, this could be the one.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

Riders will win at least a couple down the stretch. I see them winning this one, and beating Montreal at home.

The Cross Over for the West is still up in the air. Argos in the playoffs if the season were to end today.

I've been saying for a long time that Mike Reilly, though an extremely talented playmaker, is not the sharpest tool in the shed as a QB. He has had some great games statistically this year, but on more than one occasion has made a bonehead decision which has cost his team a game. The decision to throw a deep corner on a windy day on 2nd down in OT was plain stupid. Those balls weren't being completed all day, and as a result, they had to settle for a FG, opening the door for the Riders to play safe on their possession and score the winning TD.

In the OT loss to Ottawa this year, on the 3rd down play to extend the OT, he had 15 yards of running room in front of him which easily would have extended the drive, and he tried a throw across his body which fell harmlessly and ended that game.

Stats are nice, but great QB's don't constantly make mental errors like he does. Their D was the key to them winning last year, not him.

The same effect as all those calls over the years for a short or intermediate throw into the middle by Kevin "HoF" Glenn. *

(*) With new improved deflating action in the last quarter or whenever the game is on the line.

LOL, I think that Gary Lawless is the only person in Canada that thinks Glenn is a HOFer.
