TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
Still pretty price IMO. Looks to me that a majority of seats between the goal lines are $325 and up.
It's us vs the rest of the country
I believe I paid $279 for my ticket to the 04 GC (Arrrrrrrrrrrgooooos !) in approx the same section/area of the Southside at Lansdowne that they are looking for $425 for next year's game. $279 was too much and a gouge IMO, but I had the dough at the time I guess (and it worked out that the Argos were playing - to ease my annoyance at the price).
These GC prices are big-time gouges IMO; but I guess that's a sign of the times or the current laws of supply & demand, or some other such hor$e-$hit.
22 bucks for my GC ticket at the Big Owe in 81; $50 for my 88 GC ticket at Lansdowne - they want $425 for a similar seat now.
To be clear, I have no problem whatever they want to charge. Just meant that I will not be paying to go. I do not like sitting in the endzone. Did enough of that when I was a teenager. Love watching football a little higher up and anywhere between the goal lines.
Last Grey Cup I went to was 2007 in the Dome. Sat 500 level around the goal line away from the scoreboard, and bought 8 tickets at $100 per. That was a great deal.

Looks like a wait and see how ticket sales are going before making any west end zone seats available...The Grey Cup used to be a 50,000+ event, even at Lansdowne Park, where they got over 50,000 in 1988 and I think just under 45,000 in 2004, as I know they didn't have as much temp seating. Now it's become a 30,000 - 36,000 people event at these exorbitant prices. If that's what the CFL wants, that's what they want, but this event has had some of the lustre taken out of it because of the gouging. I hear some of the pre-game events are not as well attended and have also been victims of inflation, so why should anybody be surprised.
