2016 Grey Cup @ BMO Field continued

All in all it seems they pulled off a very good event. (Thanks Ottawa for bailing out tix sales) They'll do better next time.

The Redblacks and One Republic are saving this Grey Cup and I don't even know anything about One Republic. If this game stays as good as it has been and neither of the two previous things are mentioned post game then we know the fix is in with the media against the CFL. This is one of the best GC halftime shows I've seen.

I have to admit, I never heard of that band before, but they were much better than I expected. Nice to see they actually played their own instruments too.

That was a great game! I thoroughly enjoyed the halftime event and was quite pleased with how well BMO field looked on screen when it was full. Just needs to be like that for Argos games!

Really? IMO one of the best elements of the Argos playing at BMO is the completely ad-free grass surface.

I'm surprised OneRepublic didn't sing their current big hit "Future Looks Good". The damn song is everywhere - iheartradio tv and radio ads, bose tv ads, and continually on the radio.

As for people not knowing who they are, anyone remember the song "Apologize" ? It was a massive hit in 2007.

Sorry Paul, that was a friendly jab to the secondary tenants of BMO Field. I was surprised however that the endzones did not have the team names painted on them.

I was actually surprised at the song choices and that it was only 3. In Winnipeg they played 5 songs and even in 2014 was a LONG 3 songs. Considering they didn't have to setup the stage again in Toronto I did expect it to be at least 4.
I expected 1 off their new album (second song). I'm not surprised at what they played, seeing as it's about to hit the charts as well with Will Smith's new movie.

I had heard the first song they played before (Love Runs Out), but had never heard "Let's Hurt Tonight" (good song though), so your explanation makes sense. 3rd song "Counting Stars" I had heard before. While I'm not a big fan of theirs, I'm actually really surprised at how many people asked "Who ?", not like OneRepublic is new or anything.

I had no clue who they were as I do not listen to mainstream stuff. I also don't listen to the radio often, I listen to hard/classic rock and metal. One republic wouldn't have been on my listening radar unless it was suggested to me.
