Next week is going to be a tough week for CFL fans in Toronto. The media, especially Rogers-controlled media, will be out for blood and I suspect that we will see an enormous number of negative stories regarding the Argos and the CFL in Toronto. I think that we will all have to have some very thick skins over the next week.

So TSN "purchased a block of tickets"?
I wonder how many winners this contest will have? The rules say only 10, but maybe there could be a lot more 'secondary prizes' of less expensive tickets, maybe thousands of them? You might as well enter (assuming you live in Ontario) if they're giving them away. The not-very-subtle headline of the link on the front page of tsn.ca (under 'TSN promotions') is "Grey Cup Giveaway".

I think it was about two weeks ago.
It was said on the Ottawa TSN morning show today that possibly only half the tickets are sold.
I know that's hard to believe looking at the Ticketmaster map but it has proved to be highly misleading in the past. Sadly, I'm not sure how likely it is that all the east upper deck seats near the top are sold.
It looks like the game will be sold out: https://www.thestar.com/sports/hocke...ket-sales.html

maybe so, but even papered , the BC Lions made a record profit from the 2014 game.
Winnipeg made over $7.1 million for 36,000 seats, and at least 2,000 were bought at a large discount by Nissan. Even still, it has to be concerning for the league that the Grey Cup game has been struggling to sell out as of late. From 2008-2013, they sold out pretty quickly.

Again, more expensive than usual? I doubt that.
Surely people factor in a flight as part of the cost of attending a Grey Cup?
At least those who live far enough away that driving is an unrealistic option.
Mind you, one member on this forum said he is taking the train from Vancouver!
In Winnipeg and Regina, with limited hotel capacity, the hotels definitely jack up the prices. In Toronto the capacity prohibits only the Grey Cup HQ hotels from jacking up prices. Having said that, Toronto hotel prices are probably always overpriced relative to what most CFL fans in most provinces are used to.
