Sure feel like a dupe for paying $219 each for my tickets, which don't come with pizza or wings.

Absolutely, this will also make the league and Argos a laughing stock and rightfully so for those that already hate and write all negatives.........Rogers and all NFL wannabes.

Pizza Pizza presumably bought the tickets, so it's their business what they do with them.

Presumably as part of Grey Cup sponsorship they got a block of tickets as a benefit and assumed that they could do what they with them what they chose to do. Clearly they were wrong.

Forget about attendance worries, apparently there are more issues surrounding the Grey Cup (sarcasm). Not sure if I should share this garbage and be labelled a troll?

I was just thinking the other day that the CFL would get more people interested if they stopped playing the National Anthem. Also get rid of the name Eskimos. The NFL does not have a team with a name that is considered offensive.

    Dave Bidini...good work...be proud. (sarcasm).

Tell me you wouldn't have run down the block to buy that deal if just for the two Grey Cup tickets. I admit I would've and would've enjoyed the pizza and wings also. I don't disagree that they don't make the best pizza, but it's a chain, not a ma and pa traditional Italian pizzeria that makes their pizza in a traditional wood oven with secret recipes for their homemade tomato sauce.

It's because of stories like this that made me not buy Grey Cup tickets, even though I would've like to have gone.

I was pissed because I spent $20 on the first NCAA International Bowl at Skydome, and realized after asking most people around me, that they all got free tix. I never attended another International Bowl again. It wasn't the $20, it was the principle of this that bothered me.

I subscribe to Bell mobility...you think the Argos could have at least discounted Grey Cup tickets for season ticket holders who were bell customers also....yet employees got 5 tickets each. Screw them and I'm just about prepared to say screw this ownership group, and their 2 fuckin lanyards with season tickets. They went friggin cheap and just wanted to screw die hard fans over. It's too the point where I might get my live CFL fix in Hamilton if their PR doesn't get better and fast!!!!!!!!

You could tell this idiot is not a football fan. This had potential if he focused on the national and international roster ratios saying that the league should have more Canadians, as they did when it was healthier and more followed on a per capita basis by Canadians than it is now.

Instead Dave Bidini did the CBC thing and went with politically correct drivel. Pure garbage. You've got balls, Dave, tell it like it is, so you can get affirmation from all your socialist loving, NDP member friends telling you how great you are. I'm sure there would be more than one city councillor who'd want to give you a key to the city for that commentary. David Miller may even lobby some notoriety from the UN also. He's got the connections.

Not that it would be any factor in attendance, but I've been on this bandwagon for years. There is no reason to play a national anthem at a pro sporting event.

Please put a cork in the political rant-bottle. This is our little oasis for CFL football discussion: don't pollute the oasis.

I know that I will get roasted on a spit for saying this but I also agree with Bidini about the excessive military tie-ins we have seen since 9/11. I appreciate the work the military does as much as the next person but we seemed to have two months of constant Military Appreciation Nights this season. There are lots of people, including the military, who are doing great things in this country who could also be appreciated.

And btw, I have never been keen on the comparisons between football and military service. One is a game and the other is anything but.

So they announced a "capacity" crowd and not a "sell-out," which was explained to me as meaning that they're acknowledging that some tickets were given away (we knew that already).
