Former Stampeder Stan Kaluznick has died at 85. He was also a good enough hockey player to attend the Red Wing's TC.

Kaluznick played with the Stamps from 1950-54 and was the club’s leading rusher in 1951. For his Stamps career, he played 73 regular-season games and accumulated 605 rushing yards and three touchdowns as well as 238 kick-return yards. The St. Boniface, Man., native made his professional debut with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1948 at the age of 17.
In addition to his football career, Kaluznick attended training camp with the National Hockey League’s Detroit Red Wings in 1949. ...
In 1966, Kaluznick bought the Western Canada Hockey League’s Calgary Buffaloes, renamed the team the Calgary Centennials and became the club’s first general manager. He also served as president of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association.
