I predict Falcons to win the Super Bowl based on most yards passing and rushing. Although the travesty will see the Patriots will be awarded the Lombardi Award for most points! Sorry Hillary

I wish both of the teams that are participating the best of luck.
I predict the winning team will be either from the AFC or NFC
I just hope it's a good game. Although I enjoy Canadian football more than American, I still love both brands. It's "fans" that disrespect either type that annoy the hell out of me.

My son and I try to attend an NFL game once a year. Same with CIS and NCAA. A very big difference is the time clock 40 seconds. Wow, there is a lot less football compared to CFL. Young INT QBs often talk about the challenge of the 20 Second clock as a huge transition.
Add the price of advertising at the Super Bowl and we have a very long night ahead.
My wife asked me if I was going to watch the "Super Cup".....while I was watching the Phoenix Open Golf...haha...
I like all football, hope its a good game.
Best football starts in early summer.

The endless hype is finally over, hope it's a good game!!

I've only watched part of the game, and it has been very uncompetitive so far.
What's with the disdain, though? I hope that the anti-NFL sentiment hasn't gone mainstream.
...and it has become interesting. Are you a football fan or are you a CFL fan?
Grey Cup and Super Bowl overtimes in the same season?
The Pats just tied the damned game. I feel sorry for anyone who missed Q4.
Questionable decision making by Atlanta could cost them this game.

Fantastic second half.
Not true. We've been through this a couple of times on here in the past (I think before you joined the site), but if you look at total number of plays run in a game, the NFL averages more than the CFL. Next time you're at a CFL game, take a look at how much time passes by before the ref blows in the play to start the 20 second clock. I'll bet it averages close to 15 seconds. In the NFL, the 40 second clock starts immediately when the whistle blows to end the previous play.
As for the game, I was sad when the Falcons lost the OT coin toss. I had 8 and 4 in the square pool, but needed the 4 from the Falcons and 8 from the Patriots. Had the Falcons scored the OT TD, I would have won $1,000. Rough tidings.

So glad that the CFL doesn't have those OT rules. Coin toss for the win.
Cannot argue the entertainment value of that game. Not happy that Brady won a 5th ring but life goes on.

NFL has a rolling clock, the CFL doesn't. I wish the CFL did though, IMO way too much time is wasted for the ref to blow in the play.
The clock rules are different, and yet the NFL often manages to run off more plays than the CFL does. In the two most recent championship games, the Grey Cup had 34 rushing attempts and 87 passing attempts for total of 121 offensive plays. The Super Bowl had 43 rushing attempts and 86 passing attempts for total of 129 offensive plays. That's with one team not possessing the ball in OT, unlike the CFL where three of the plays were run by the losing team in OT.
Despite its 40-second clock, the NFL often has snaps 30 seconds (or less) after the previous play was whistled dead. Despite its 20-second clock, the CFL often has snaps more than 30 seconds (and sometimes more than 40 seconds) after the previous play was whistled dead. That's because the 20-second clock doesn't start until the ref starts it, while the game clock keeps running (except in certain circumstances). I'm strongly on favour of the league tweaking the rules to force plays to happen a maximum of 20 seconds apart. You'd get three plays per minute rather than two.

As am I, that pace and flow of the game would greatly improve, plus less time for subs.
Changes I'd like to see:
Allow teams only 1 timeout and challenge a game, then only allow teams to challenge OPI and DPI, and no team can challenge during the last 3 minutes of each half (eye in the sky would take care of that). 40 player rosters (plus 2-6 on inactive and 10+ on PR), 20 second play clock, allow defenders at least 1 step (I'd prefer two steps) for QB's avoidance/hits. Also, tell the refs that unless the play has a direct negative or positive result on the field then they should let it go and not throw flags, hopefully it would bring down the flags to under 15 a game. Lastly a 20 second rolling clock, and IMO that'd make for a great viewing experience.
