The title of the following article in the Ottawa Sun on the winners and losers in free agency says it all: "Argo fans among CFL free agent losers". You can read the article to find out the rest of the winners and losers, but you already probably know.

Most would call the Argos’ makeshift front office losers through the first two days, but going out and spending money for the sake of it wasn’t going to automatically make them winners, either.
Missing out on Dennis hurt not only because of the optics of the situation, choosing Regina over Toronto due to the management uncertainty, but also because the Argos pushed most of their chips into the centre of the table and came away empty-handed.
Productive linebacker Winston Venable is a nice addition, but they’ve lost more talent than they’ve gained.
This is a fluid situation, however, because we’re heading into bargain territory and the Argos could quickly find them on the other end of this list if they make a smart and discounted signing or three.
But they’ll have to convince players there’s a direction first.
That part is just another gut punch in a long line of them for Argos supporters.
When Gil Fenerty won the rookie of the year award in 1987 the sponsor was still Schenley.

Thanks Argolio. If our management team was as fast acting as you we would be a lot better off.
Impressive gentlemen. Very impressive.
Peter Dyakowski and Jeff Fuller have signed with the Argos according to Lawless.

these are depth guys. Assume we spent nothing on them its good value.
Lots of good value players left in FA ... as long as we don't waste alot of cap space on them. CFL is all about getting value for $, and ONLY spending on difference makers (Top QB, Top Rush End, Tackles) not spending on good/solid players. I qualify Jackson in the good/solid player category

Jackson got $217/yr from MTL
... good 40-60k over market value .. glad we lost out

Both Dyakowski and Fuller have had trouble staying healthy, so that's a bit concerning, but Fuller has a lot of talent and could be our #1 deep threat.

I don't think many of us expected him back.
I'm curious about who *else* won't be back. Ray, Willy, Matthews, Kilgore, Fajardo, and one rookie (surely) is too many QBs.

Boy, I thought Dyakowski was done last year. Looked like he could hardly move. But if he can drop some weight maybe he can play RG which was a weak spot last year. Fuller has potential. Looked like he was suffering from the NFL syndrome last year after playing well in 2015.

The Argos can trot out a pretty good bunch of starting Canadians IMO. A GM has to be quite stupid not being able to find and fill in the Import players. Barker did a fair job of leaving some good Canadian talent. I would have picked Lauzon-Seguin last year instead of Jones and they would be set at RG or OT for a while. But anyway Jones will probably start at SB or WR this year, backed by Noel. Holmes, McEwen, Van Zeyl and now Dyakowski up front back by Sackey and Campbell. Waud, Findley, Walker (maybe Foley) on the D-Line. LBers Miles and Greenwood (they may have decided to move on from Greenwood though) and Gabriel at safety. All is not lost if they can give Ricky better protection and a big tough running back.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
