And we probably won't be offering upfront bonuses, just because who knows if the future GM/HC really want the FA when they arrive.

We only signed Hall to a 1 year deal? I didn't even realize he was an FA until now.

This was expected. When the players don't know who will be coaching them, they'll stay away!!! Or move on to more stable teams. ie Shaw, Spencer.
I heard Mike Morreale today and he said as much. Players want to know who they're playing for.

Interesting /curious; something must be up with the RedBlacks current receiving corps - either Jackson is set to leave as a FA, or Chris Williams is a question mark about coming back from injury ??? - because, IMO, neither of Shaw or Spencer could make the Ottawa starting receiver top 4, and they also have Criner as a young receiver who flashed some talent last year; and I doubt Spencer & Shaw signed to be back-ups or for low CFL bucks ??? - unless one of them is looked at as a primary return specialist ?

RedBlacks also supposedly signed Khalil Bass from the Bombers - after they had just re-signed their own linebackers Munoz & Reed = this makes little sense to me as well.

Even if we sign Ernest Jackson(other than alot of money why would he come here), the remaining good pieces on the Argos are being gutted; Spencer,Jefferson,Shaw,Greenwood,Black,Whitaker. Whoever is going to come here to GM and Coach certainly has a blank canvas to work with.

Lack of confirmation on Jackson is disconcerting.

If the Als release or trade Vernon Adams, I hope the Argos explore this QB option.

Bizzarre? - did Millanovich get his job back?

Matthews is a stiff - got a shot because he was one of Kenty's boys from US college ball.

Alex Dupuis to the Esks? Not that he was a key player but he was IMO a very solid fullback.

Nice signing by the Esks - who were using special teams ace / converted linebacker Mike Miller as their part-time fullback last season = Dupuis is a big upgrade there, and could help Reilly from taking more punishment.

OK - makes perfect sense then; Bass to replace Munoz; and they signed Jefferson to make-up for the loss of Kaneh.

Desjardins looking smart with his FA activity thus far - still want to find out what is up with signing Shaw & Spencer though ?

Those good pieces were apart of a team that won 5 games last season. I'm not too bothered with letting players go but not finding their replacements is concerning. Spencer, Shaw, Whitaker and Jefferson are all replaceable. Greenwood is more valuable being a Canadian stud, but is never fully healthy.

Interesting to watch Desjardins and the Redblacks operate, they have a plan and execute it very well.

I agree. He is one of those unhearlded players who fulfils his role well.

    No thanks for Vernon Adams

    Dennis chooses Riders over Argonauts.

The Matthews signing must be Condell's doing.

Jefferson at corner to replace White would be my guess. As for Shaw and Spencer, younger and cheaper options over Williams and Jackson.
