    Argos Town Hall Meeting

    Given the state of affairs and that the ST fanbase continues to be ignored by the Argos during this offseason, with exception to selling us product, is it up to us to hold a Town Hall meeting? Maybe we should bring the fans together, invite some Argo players and talk publicly about the state of affairs? Naylor, Mitchell and Simmons would be interested. I have to think that Argos Alumni too are very concerned.

    Any thoughts?

    Depending on the objectives and the plan for the event, I would consider attending. If it's meant to offer constructive ideas to build the franchise, great. If it's just an opportunity for fans to get together and b**ch about how terrible Copeland is, not interested.

    I don't see any point in bitching about the past. Having said that, You can't ever hold a Town Hall without 5 - 10% bitching element though. Even in the best of times.

    Smart businesses obviously listen to their customers. It's the best research they could ever buy, and like anything you remove the best 10% (sycophants and pom-pom cheerleaders) and conversely 10% of the other stuff you habitually get from the chronic grumblers. Inside that 80%, there is usually some gold. There is also a component of exposure that comes along with it, but leaders/executives who are more passionate about the product than they are about hiding their incompetence (or padding their own resumes), are the men and women that any business needs.

    I'd love to have a Town Hall, I want one every year, but I think this year would be interesting. After so much hope entering into last season , Copeland has a lot of explaining to do.

    Any official town hall hosted by the team would not be a fun time for Copeland and Moore. I doubt they choose to face the music.

    I think Thursday, March 9th is a good day to hold to Town Hall meeting. I guess the downtown core makes the most sense, unless others have a better idea. Members here are welcome to attend. If I can get this date and forum firmed up, I'll share the details so others can come if they wish.

    I don't plan on spending to much time vetting the forum.

    George Cope, Michael Copeland, Sarah Moore and Larry Tannenbaun will be invited too.
