Nope, because Argo merchandise has not been mass-marketed since then.

I see plenty of economically viable Argo gear at Walmart stores, and that's a great thing as many people shop at Walmart for those same economic reasons. Some stores have more than others but Walmart does sell Argo merchandise along with TFC and Raptors merchandise...caps, generic uniforms with the "A" shield but nothing custom with names of players, which is what inflates prices at sports stores.

Would you have honestly paid a $150 for a customized Cleo Lemon Argo jersey in 2011?...didn't think so. I'm amazed I see Leaf fans dumb enough to have bought and worn a JVR jersey in public, but then again it is the Leafs.

(As for Cleo Lemon, I don't think it's a CFL or Argo thing, I doubt there were many Cleo Lemon Miami Dolphin jerseys sold when he played in the NFL....maybe Jim Barker bought one)

I bought an Argo T-shirt at Walmart 4 years ago, and have been to many different Walmart stores on a regular basis, but haven't seen anything since then.

I bought some Argos stuff at Walmart last year, so yes, they do stock it (or did so until very recently).

An update on the radio broadcasts, and we'll also get a weekly podcast, which is good news IMO.

This is a nice compromise. He will do the home games and road games in Hamilton. All other road games will still be simulcast but the weekly podcast is a nice addition for modern coverage.

Awesome to hear that the team listens to it's fans and these small things will go a long way!

It is a very positive sign that management is listening. Town Hall comments were very clear. This move addresses the issue of post game show at home for those sitting in their cars after the adrenaline of the match ch. excellent move!

Very happy to hear about this. Sounds like we'll be getting more content this season, big move in the right direction IMO.

Yup, this is terrific news. Hogan is quite responsive too, and may entertain suggestions for podcast topics. Maybe we can even get answers to mysteries like "What's the deal with Da'rick Rogers?"

I cannot guarantee that the Argofans.com podcast will be able to solve this riddle.

Amazing! Hogie is Argos football. You can instantly tell that he loves what he does and is dedicated to being the best Argos insider, maybe ever. Never half asses it, is what am trying to say. The Podcast is a welcome addition.

Boy, it sure is different having the orginization truly listening to the hardcore fans. It may be all coincidence, but it almost feels like the powers that be are reading all the posts on here (along with recent live events), and trying to satisfy the entire fan base. It's going to take time and cost money, but they are on the right track to increasing this teams popularity.

Very positive move. Probably, the most important aspect of this decision, is that management appears to not only be paying attention to the urgings of the fans but reacted quickly in a positive manner. Well done!

Was this decision made by Argos front office (Copeland, Moore) or by ownership (Bell)? If it was a cost cutting move in the first place, maybe ownership just decided to accept the losses and do what's good for the franchise?
