I think that part of why the Argos haven't "made it" recently is a lack of local identification. No one cares about the Blue Jays or Raptors, but the Leafs are less embarrassing than usual. Could it hurt to support them this Spring?

Has to go both ways.
TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
I disagree that no one cares about the Raptors or Jays. No doubt there are a lot of kids who swelled Jays crowds the past two years because it was a party atmosphere in there, but they also have serious fans, and so do the Raptors.

The Argos do tweet whenever another Toronto sports team is starting in the playoffs or starting their season. I don't know if it is consistently reciprocated by the other teams.

I did a few polls on Twitter this week about whether CFL or Argo fans support the other Toronto sports teams. It isn't scientific by any stretch, but a few things caught my eye: the dislike for the other Toronto team split on whether it was a summer sport or winter sport. The Raptors actually did much better than I anticipated.
#Argos or #CFL fans are you an MLS fan too?

No surprises there!

IMO the raptors have a very large following among the cord-cutting generation, which ooesn't translate into tv ratings. Older folks tend to ignore basketball but those under 30 follow it, speaking generally of course.

When Chris Zelkovich had his column on Yahoo, he mentioned in one of his final columns something along the lines of how Raptors viewers don't really sit through the entire game and that they watch the highlights on their phones. In other words, they "consume" the product differently than other sports fans do.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
streamers are caught in the TV ratings ... if they are watching the TSN/SN signal with the sound on. Same goes for bars, gym, even walking in bestbuy.
but your right cord cutting generation isn't even watching the games ... just catching the nightly highlights (attention span is tooo short) and chatter on social media.

If individual Argo fans choose to support or not support the Raptors, Leafs and Jays then that is their personal choice.

We support all the Toronto teams except the leafs but we're only passionate about hockey and the CFL.
Why shouldn't Argo management and promoted personnel endorse the Leafs? Let's play together!
I didn't see it but supposedly the HNIC intro last night excluded the Argos. I'm guessing they did some sort ode to Toronto's Championship winning teams or something along those lines.
