I was at both of those events, and weirdly, I was by myself for both of them (used to live next door to the dome, so went to a lot of games like that). But boy, what a blast. The Kick for a Million particularly stands out, because it must have been the first or second year of that promotion, and it was a big crowd, and no one left their seats. When he did it, people in my section went pretty crazy, jumping up and high fives all over the place. Good times.

I remember that it was the first year of this promotion and they changed the prize payment to a lump sum going forward as there was a bit of an outrage when people found out that he was going to be paid over 40 years.

Diesbourg's kick was a nice bit of creme on Argos' 2005 11-7 first place season and one of my most vivid memories of the year.

The funny thing is that he missed the 20, 30 and 40 yard kicks before it. $1M is $1M, but I think he missed out on some other good prizes leading up to it.

The one year they tried a tonne of stuff. Tony hawk, Austin Powers bobbleheads. All you can eat pizza.

The wet tshirt contests were another reason my nfl loving friends went to an argos game.
in total my friends have been to 3 games, kick for a million, Austin Powers bobblehead, (which I think coincided with all you can eat pizza) and wet tshirt, of course the wet tshirt never happenned. But you still got something like 3 beers and d 2 hot dogs for 10 bucks at the "tailgate". But they ran out of hot dogs and started giving 5 beers for 10 bucks.
best promotion ever. And least for someone in their early 20s.
