The Argos have told me that having a booth/table set-up to promote Argofans is "doable." I believe Neely has volunteered chairs/table as soon as he is able to confirm that he will be attending. Does anybody have one of those tent canopy things? That'd be something needed. Also, anyone have a link to someone who does banners? Figure I should get a generic banner done.
Also, I'll need volunteers to take shifts helping me run the booth/table.
Thanking in advance
Will

Way to go, Will. Wish I could help.
Fan Day returns (should have never left...), but with one glaring omission. No Double Blue game? I hope that's not the case, as that was my favourite part. Work in progress I guess.
Interesting. I assumed we always had it, or some kind of scrimmage. Barker's commentary was pretty neat, especially when he gave background info on the players. In comparison, the Tiger-Cats seem to always have their "Black and Gold" game every year. I wonder if the team wil have any kind of live (refereed) game like sessions or are they going to just wing it the first pre-season game?
I have a canopy I use at the tailgate ..... Let me know if you need it. I am out of town but can make the effort to be there earlier if needed.
They do have a mock game with officials every year, it was just recently that it was a part of fan day. I think it's a good idea to separate them. Fan day should be a day where the team makes themselves available to mingle with the fans, especially kids. Kids may not be as keen as some of us to watch a mock game.

It's us vs the rest of the country
The mock games I attended last were in Burlington, Oakville, and Oshawa and it seemed like the players were in more of a rush to leave. So, if they do the mock game, hopefully it won't feel so rushed. It didn't seem so rushed when it was last held in UTM.
In 2012 the mock game was held prior to fan day that I remember for sure. I honestly think I missed fan day in both 2013 and 2014 so can't recall, but 2015 had the mock game with it for sure.

I'll see all of you at fan day, however I will not be doing the booth/table due to not enough people volunteering to assist me throughout the actual event.

Does anyone have the Fan Day code for Argonauts All Access yet?
Popp didn't narrate the practice like Barker did. A minor quibble I grant you, but that was a nice touch in year's past. There wasn't a mock game going on merely a standard practice.
They had activities for the kids and the players were accessible as usual. Ray, Ball and Lemon got the most attention and many of the adults were lined up to meet Trestman.
Turnout seemed less than in past years though.

Hi Mightygoose, it must be my Argos email account. I went through Facebook and succeeded. Thanks.
This was my first time attending so I can't compare it to previous years.
Outside of the existing Argo community, was this event advertised much? When it was in Oshawa a few years ago, it was at least mentioned in the local newspaper.
I told a friend of mine....who goes to a game or two a year about it the day before so he ending up coming with his son. Otherwise, he had no idea it was going on.
York's grandstand is smaller than Oshawa so I wonder if this year's event was left smaller on purpose ans plan bigger in 2018.
Oshawa was also advertised on FM Radio. Add to that, minor league football took place on adjoining fields bring a couple of hundred players and parents perhaps not Ticket holders.
