Kackert showed great courage by even attempting to come back after such a serious injury and even showed flashes of his old form.
Would have been nice if he had been given more of an opportunity but at least he went out on his own terms, I wish him well and hope he stays connected with the Argonaut organization.

Remember that run like it was yesterday. All the best to Chad moving on from Football. #11 Dontrelle Inman and #81 Jason Barnes were pretty good receivers that year as well.

Nice video! Take that Trestman! I will always remember how Kackert had to play his way on to this team. He came into camp as an unknown behind Boyd, Durie, Johnson, and etc, who always kept making big plays, particularly in the pre-season games. The team had no choice but to keep him around and whenever he got the chance to play, he continued to break big runs. To see him eventually becoming the starter and then Grey Cup MVP was outstanding.

Best of luck to Kackert in his future endeavors. I'd love to see him back as a Coach for the team some day.

Dontrelle has actually found himself a nice spot in San Diego. Had 800 yards receiving last year.

I'm both happy and sad. Chad was one of my all-time favourite Argos. He took the Argos run game to another dimension, but even more important, his damn-the-torpedoes style seemed to raise his teammates level of play when he was on the field. However, I've been concerned for a couple of years about football ruining his long-term health, so l"m glad to see him retire.

I figured it was coming, but, a sad day to say farewell to one of my favourite Argos of all time. He was so exciting to watch. I too hope he can manage to stay involved with the team in some manner, maybe not this year, but down the road, when he settles into post football playing life. I do really think that the Argos should have him back and honour him at a game this season. He was one of the most popular players of the past 5 to 6 years. Maybe it would help draw some extra fans in if they come to honour Kack.

come to think of it... I think they have yet to honour Mike O'Shea. Correct me if I am wrong, but I cannot recall it. He should definitely be up an that flag of all time Argos. This team is pretty poor at that. Like the Leafs were for decades.

Yes we will always have 2012, and so happy now to "always" have my "Kack Attack" Argos T.
just thinking about the strange looks I might get from younger fans in future years,
when they see it on me, and ask "what does that mean?"

Mike O'Shea was honoured during the final game ever at SkyDome in 2015 when the Argos defeated his Bombers.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

I was obviously there, as I have not missed a home game in well over 20 years now.... guess I just completely forgot about it.
