Posey looks pretty good but his drops of easy catches is bothersome. Fuller just doesn't look as quick as he was with Calgary a few years ago, but a good secondary receiver with size. Hope Trestman starts giving Noel some reps there to bring him along. Edwards is the new Durie IMO maybe even a bit faster.
I always like to put players in the best position for them and the team. So Wilder to me would make a great TE with good receiving and yac yards over the middle plus some screen passes. Problem is that position isn't used that way anymore. But he runs too straight up to be an effective RB IMO, but there wasn't too many holes for him against BC either. Good athlete that can be good if used correctly IMO.
OL got exposed and played about way I figured they would from seeing them in the past. Washington is more of a Guard but those positions are Canadian for the ratio. Barker kept trading the good LT's away every year. Just have to have one weak link and the whole chain (line) breaks down. I know Trestman seems to think he needs an all American receiving core for starters. But I would be very tempted to move Washington over to RG and see what Will Campbell could do at LT. Then start Noel backed up by Jones/Ralph at one of the wide outs. They keep saying "we got to protect Ricky", well I say then put the best guys up front to protect him, and play some Canadians in other positions. Other teams do it and are successful.

Still early in the season, and a lot of coaches are reluctant to mess with their starting O-line; but I'd give somebody else a shot at OT over Washington, and maybe Deane gets healthy and goes in at guard, or top pick Mason Woods (massive and an experienced guard starter in US college ball) gets a look there too. Even a one game audition to see if upgrades can be found. BC's D-line is nothing special and IMO sub-par but they gave the Argos O-line too much trouble. And the run blocking does not look good either - though it's such a minor part of the offence.

Not a good game for our o-line. And where BC often took away Ray's first read, Jennings had too many uncontested completions.

Disappointing game after the opening week, in some ways deja vu to last year all over again.
Ricky looked uncomfortable, was pressured too many times as the Lions gave him different looks and some of his throws were bad, don't know how many skipped and were plain awful.
I have to believe something is wrong with his shoulder again as the crisp accurate passes from the opener were simply missing.
Like most have said, Wilder is not an east west slasher, has to be north and south downhill type.
The D was brutal especially on the back end as the Lions receivers controlled the middle and the lines on many throws in fact there were a few dropped bombs from Jennings.
It's got to be back to the drawing board for Trestman and so far thankfully the East appears to be again the much weaker division so there is hope.
