Now we have to wait until reports from practice who got most reps. I sure hope they dont screw over Fajardo, I thought we were done with that kind of stuff with previous management. I believe in the new management, if they screwed over Fajardo, not giving him a decent chance to start, I will be very disappointed
You think I made it up out of thin air? Only that as 1050 signed off last night with trestman on with Mike Hogan, he would not commit that Fajardo would be the starter, stated they would talk it over with all the coaches have input from everybody and collectively make the decision. I dont know why he could not have just stated Cody is our guy, but he could not?

It left the impression he was not certain it would be Cody, thats how I took it. Yes Airplane is one of my favorite movies.
From CFL.CA an assumption on their part, but sounds like its ok then
If Ray is unavailable, Fajardo is expected to make his first career professional start. Fajardo completed six of 11 passing attempts for 75 yards and also flashed his ability as a rusher, taking off eight times for 55 yards and a touchdown.
“He does give us some mobility and some out of the pocket ability to extend plays with his feet and with his speed. I think you saw that [on Thursday night]. He just ran off the game play and made some plays, extended some plays when he had the opportunity to do that.”
Maybe I got it ass-backwards but the impression that I got from that interview was that all options were on the table including Ricky Ray. At that point they weren't aware of how bad the injury was and how long he would be out. Ricky Ray himself had told Matthew Scianitti that he was fine.
Dang it! As bad as the O-line was last night, on this particular play my first reaction was that Ray was waiting way too long and I know that he was looking deep and waiting for the play to develop but there was a lot of steamboats before he attempted the pass.
Now we shall see what we've got for the future. I foresee a mixture of Fajardo and Matthews but I don't know, I guess we could always give up another first rounder and maybe Marcus Ball for Drew Willy again!
I am hoping they commit to Fajardo, in my mind would be unfair to handle it any other way at this point
As for Oline and QB sacks... I am a fan of RR, he looked better this season than I recall ever, ok maybe early days in Edmonton. But when I followed Flutie to NFL I remember well Bills OLINE Coach Carl Mauk (sp) saying.... The Oline is just fine when Flutie is at QB, Finally breaking, he had enough crap that his oline was the problem, Mauk said the problem is Rob Johnson, he was right, RJ went on to be sack king of the NFL
I agree with you Stevoman. I thought he had lots of time to look down field then get rid of it before he got walloped. I'm not putting this one on the O-line. A ton of other hits yes but not this one.
Maybe this is just Trestman trying to throw off Als, who to prepare for. But great news if its the case that RR is not in to bad a shape
Ray is a Hall of Fame QB, but with his record of long-term injury season after season I think it's time to spend the team's big money on another starting QB next season.
Could have been worse.
I wonder whether Cody will do his own sneaks or if Prukop will see some action.
Last night he looked like he was off, he had so much time to get rid of the ball and his decision making was very slow and it resulted in 2 turn over by one of the smartest QB in the CFL this year. i said to my buddy, they should have taken him out of half as he looked like he was a not his normal self.
Agree with you.
Ray was slow in the pocket, almost like he could not make his reads with the progressions.
On top of which he bounced several passes.
Deja vu from last year.
His worst game of the year.
Going into the game, I actually though we could win if his performance was like early in the year.
Wasn't even close.
