By all accounts Zach has been a good team mate and locker room presence, so what chu talking bout Willis ?

Seems to me, people are still bitter about Zach's wave, and/or how a bunch of fans wanted Zach to stay and crapped all over Ray and Milo.

I don't have an issue with a player waving at the other bench etc. happens all the time. Part of game. Like trash talking. Don't really have an issue with him wanting to go and make more money instead of staying, being patient, and learning from a better QB in Ricky Ray. Showed me a little bit of his character though, thinking he was better than he was and selfish. (although that is a youthful thing).
But getting back to the insubordination. Any time a player in any sport comes off the field yelling at his Coach (who is also Head of Football Operations) on National TV, that player is as good as gone. Sometimes it is immediately, sometimes if you are the starting QB it takes a little while, but it will happen. The Coaching fraternity are like Brothers, they love to beat each other but don't let anybody else start dumping on them. So where ever Mr. Collaros ends up there will be some long talks behind closed doors. Because if you don't learn how to act growing up you will learn it the hard way, especially in the world of pro football. So having said all that I don't want him back with the Argos, but that's not up to me to decide. And everybody said "thank goodness".

Tomorrow is the trade deadline. If Collaros is not an Argonaut by 5pm, then we'll probably have to wait for his off-season release. I find it hard to believe anyone would take on his contract, but it is for only a few games, so anything can happen I guess. Montreal has some decent LB's (Herbert and Cox) that might be worth looking at if our injuries are a worry. I'm sure Jim Popp is looking them over.

Sit tight and let Hamilton continue to pay Collaros and see what happens in the off season.
Trading with Hamilton at this time would be doing them a big favour (who wants to do that)?

If you can get him for a 6th round pick like SJ Green, I say do it today.

I doubt any team will trade for Collaros at this time and take on the big contract.
They'll all wait until February when he's due a large payment. If the Cat's have committed to Massoli or Manzeil, then wait them out to release him or take next to nothing on a trade.

Honestly, Bridge is a free agent after this year. And Popp was the first to sign him in the CFL.
After watching him last Saturday I think he has all the tools to play.
Big, mobil, Canadian, from TO, well spoken.....marketing dream for the Argos.
With Trestman and hopefully Ray to mentor some more, I think the sky's the limit.

Haha no....but Popp also released Mitchell White after training camp last year but was able to bring him to Toronto this year. Your scenario regarding Bridge is not beyond reach.

How is he a marketing dream for Toronto? Unless it's hockey Toronto seems to have very little interest in anything Canadian.

That's a big if Angelo, I honestly don't see these two teams consummating a trade of this magnitude.

Definitely not now with the deadline passed. I guess we'll have to wait until the off season to see what the future holds at QB. Will it be Collaros? Perhaps Bridge? Trevor Harris I believe is also currently without a contract beyond this season.

Da Riders need to look to their future at QB. I do not see them allowing Bridge to escape from their grasp.

I believe Jones still has his sights on Franklin.
Also Mat Cauz writes about the potential of Bridge in double blue.
Either way it will be a very interesting of season for QB's!

The fact that he continues to start Glenn tells me Jones is not completely sold on him. Until he signs an extension, I wouldn't bank on him returning to Regina. Hell, with a new coach next year, the Als may once again be interested.

Hopefully the Argos are aggressive in getting the guy they want, don't mind any of the options you mentioned TBH.

A lot easier to market someone like Collaros over someone like Ray. Although Manziel would be the ideal "marketing dream" in Toronto, not that I think it would make a huge difference.

He was referring to Bridge not Collaros.

I'm aware, hence why I used Collaros, Ray and Manziel, because they're American. Nobody would give a rats behind about Bridge being Canadian, now if Auston Matthews were Canadian: look out.
