I thought there was an existing Thread for The Athletic but I can't seem to find it.

The Athletic is now asking you to set up a Personalized Feed (your subscription just got better) by adding the teams that you like / follow. Unfortunately only 4 Toronto teams are options, leafs, Jays, Raptors and TFC.

This is especially disappointing since the Argonauts bought every Argonauts season ticket holder a subscription.

I've sent them an Email so hopefully they fix this soon but it's just another example of how the media treats the Argonauts as an afterthought.

They're not even an option when you search Argonauts or Toronto:

I searched Toronto, Argos & Argonauts and they didn't come up as an option. I'll have to try again later.

I really hope so-- I subscribed before we all got the deal in part because they were providing good Argos coverage, and I would be SORELY disappointed if they did not fix this, which is, yet again, another example of the Argos poor treatment. Why did this have to happen in the first place? Why does it have to be fixed? Why are the Argos treated differently, yet again?

There is likely a valid explanation, such as the fact that the Athletic is owned and operated in the United States, and in no other market it serves is there a CFL team. So in fact getting Argo coverage here is a form of special treatment in a positive way.

I have yet to receive this email. the only options i can find in the android app are for notifications, which i disabled all but the ones for the argos and any comments on their articles for the argos.

Login to The Athletic through your web browser and it should ask you to pick your settings.

Yes it does get frustrating that it always seems to be the Argos and the CFL that are the afterthoughts.

Thanks for noticing this and speaking up about it to initiate recognition of the Argos, something that often seems necessary with the Argos.

I brought this to the attention of one of the co-founders of The Athletic and he informed me that it was an error made by one of their programmers and their fixing it.

For what it's worth, the Athletic has just announced the addition of Ken Rosenthal, one of the most respected baseball reporters, and it is expanding its hockey coverage to include the other Canadian NHL cities and national coverage. And I have it on good authority that they are about to announce the addition of another tremendously respected reporter. The founders of the Athletic are putting a lot of money into their belief that fans will pay for quality written content about sports. Here's hoping they succeed.
