GAME THREAD: Ottawa at Montreal September 17, 2017

When teams fire HC in midseason, things can go either way, especially in the short term. However, the more talented RedBlacks should prevail even if the Als put in a good effort.

Drew Tate is starting at QB for Ottawa. I think Montreal may take this game.

Drew Willy may be getting the start next week against the Argonauts.

It looks that way. Recent events combined with the fact that Durant looked pretty bad against us in our last matchup... I'd see what Willy can do after a week of starter's reps.

Montreal looks atrocious. If Tate joins Harris on the sidelines for an extended period of time, then 1st place in the East is looking good for Toronto.

Tate had his best game in years and Lindley didn't look out of place. Ottawa may have the best QB depth in the league at least in terms of third stringers.

Tate has had injury issues throughout his career whenever he finally becomes a starter and today was no different. Lindley looked better that expected but let's see how he does on Friday night starting a game. I am still not sold on him.

A seasoned veteran like Durant so nervous he was bouncing every throw (6 times in a row). I don't buy that. It looked like a "cut me" performance to me. Maybe he wants out of the gong show.

I agree. Montreal was a mess this week, not exactly trial by fire.

I think the Argos could have beaten Montreal on no rest.

The most telling part about this game was the Als DB intercepting a pass int he end-zone, running out, stepping back in and then getting tackled for the safety touch.

That's when you know things aren't going well, hopefully that continues this week!

If you watched the play closely - Campbell was hesitant about returning the pick, but his foot barely crossed the goal-line ((twice) while he was trying to make up his mind; not like he ran out and then retreated and ran back in; still - he should have known better and a guy with his blazing speed should have been thinking take the pick all the way to the house probably.
