    GAME THREAD Montreal @ Toronto

Two days away, needed to get this off the ground.

Once again I’ve overly optimistic about this team and its chances. Typically, this comes back and bites me in the …..

Anyhow, this is a must win game, I think winning this one and the one next week goes a long way to securing top spot in the East.

Given the shred job the Argos did on Montreal a few weeks ago, I don’t see how we lose this game to be brutally honest. I don’t even care how pretty it is, just get that win.

That said, would like to see Wilder continue being incorporated and especially against a zone type defence like Montreal. Last week the Esks were full-on selling out on blitzes and Wilder burned them good.Montreal is unlikely to make the same mistake.

On the flip side the Als offence is a dumpster fire (again) and I think our D will be stingy, I’m guessing Lemon is still out but I’m looking forward to the Buter – Laing combination being back in business again (incl. after last week).

I agree that winning this game goes a long way to helping lock up first in the East as it will give us the Tiebreaker against both Ottawa and Montreal. Plus we still have a chance to get the Tiebreaker against Hamilton.

With Montreal making wholesale changes in coaches including the most recent involving bringing in former Rider HC Ken Miller who had success with Durant in Saskatchewan and ongoing changes in the roster, the at least temporary uncertainty in tactics and personnel means this is the Argos game to lose.

Agree with the points in all three posts above.

Those tiebreakers against both the Als and Cats could prove crucial at season's end.

Oh yeah the tiebreaker aspect may be massive. I think holding the Ottawa tiebreaker is great too, although somewhat negated by their tie I guess…

Totally negated, unless the Argoa end up with a tie game, or Ott gets a second tie. Otherwise, there is no way the teams can finish the season with the same number of points.

They need to fix the bitmap so it is readable, but if you squint...
    - Murray moves to boundary corner
    - White is our new field HB
    - Darby moves to field corner
    - Black moves back to safety
    - Vaughn moves back to LB
    - Sanders joins the roster for the first time and starts at field WR
    - Wilder Jr. hangs on to his RB job

Sears who slipped twice last Saturday appears to be sitting. Bethel-Thompson is ahead of Matthews on the depth chart. Good looking line up. Curious to see what the Colonel can do at wide out opposite of Posey.

I suspect that we agreed to give Bethyl-Thompson (and Prukop) a certain number of games on the active roster for salary purposes.

It's unfortunate that AK, who supposedly started practicing almost a month ago, still isn't back on the roster.

Last week at practice Bethel-Thompson took some reps, and looked quite good. I saw him throw about 10 passes in full scrimmage, and not 1 incompletion.
It's us vs the rest of the country

Hasn't Bethel-Thompson been on IR all season? If so, he's been getting game cheques all along.

Hmm - you're right. It was Prukop who was on the PR to start the year.

White at HB and not corner ? I'm a bit surprised.

Not surprised that Matthews has gotten pushed down the QB chart.

Hopefully unlike last year the BMO Field staff and security is aware of it this time.

The depth chart PDF has been posted. Now that the chart can be read without eyestrain, I also see that Charette has been activated at WR. Who knows if he will actually dress, but it looks like we're making an effort to look at our PR guys late in the season. Nice.

HaHa good one Neely. I for one will have a donation for sure, as will my good friend
Earl who's joining me from Guelph. He will have his donation with him. GO ARGOS!
