GAME THREAD: Ottawa at Winnipeg September 22, 2017

Having played on Sunday, Ottawa is playing on short rest while Winnipeg is coming off a bye week. That alone should give the Bombers a big edge and when combined with the highest scoring per game offence, make them the prohibitive favourites.

The fact that the REDBLACKS have to start their third string QB heavily tilts the game in Winnipeg's favour.

Winnipeg should win this game, especially if they get to Lindlay early on. Should be a wet one in Winnipeg tonight.

Kevin Elliott, the ass clown of all ass clowns, spins the ball after a 12 yard gain on a hitch screen, down 22-2. So glad to hear Dunnigan comment on that.

The contrast between the ease with which Nichols could complete passes and Lindley's inability to establish any passing attack other than at the end of the game when the Bombers were in a soft prevent defence made this a lop-sided victory. Former Argo Darvin Adams also had an outstanding game with seven catches for 195 yards including a 42 yarder that he caught after a RedBlack had already knocked him to the ground.

Yes. And I stand corrected. It was a 13 yard gain. Totally different. Celebratory spinning of the ball now justified.

Did he really?! (And I thought he was out of football.) Someone definitely needs to step up with an "Oh, Kevin..." talking to.

Yup. And all I can think of was the outrage on here when the Argos cut all of these clowns last year.

He will be out of the league once and for all this off-season Big Guy. Stop gap measure for Ottawa.

I am not surprised by this result. Some in R-Nation were overrating Lindley a bit after the victory over the Alouettes.

Have I mentioned how much I dislike Darvin Adams? Does absolutely nothing in an Argo uniform and becomes a top flight receiver upon departure.

Didn't understand what R Nation saw last week, because IMO Lindley played okay at best, this week looked horrid, game was going to quick for him. While he looks to have a strong arm, accuracy issues will hurt him. I guess Campbell wants to protect Collins, because I'm actually a bit surprised that Lindley didn't eventually get pulled for him.

As for Adams, clearly a player who just needed some time to develop.

Yup...add Jeremiah Johnson and Terrell Sinkfield in that category as well.

This has been the case with a lot players in this league. With so many available American football players, coaches and management often show little patience for a new player that doesn't catch lightning in a bottle from the get go. Cassius Vaughan is a good example!e as a player that has worked in the Argos favour.

I'm sure the last thing Ottawa wanted was for Lindley to start a game this year. He looked way too keyed up, and his receivers didn't help him much. And looking at his bio (high school and college in San Diego, NFL mostly in Arizona), I wonder if this was the first game he ever started in the rain.

Adams did little for the Argos iMO partly because he just isn't very good.

Install any decent receiver as your # 1 or 2 target in a big passing league offence and feed him tons of passes and he will makes some plays; Adams has a bit of big play ability but overall is IMO an average at best CFL receiver talent who drops plenty of passes; good for the Bummers for thinking he is a #1 calibre CFL receiver - we'll see how much of a factor their passing game is when it counts down the stretch and if the play-offs. Good thing they have a strong O-line and a top calibre RB in Harris, plus a real solid vet receiver in Dressler, but Nichols at QB plus Adams as your supposed star receiver = better hope Harris can have some real good games - rushing & receiving.

You mean like he wouldn't be starting; or if he was, it would be at little used wide-side WR with maybe a pass or two thrown his way a game ?

Your biases are tiring OV. You need some new material.
