GAME THREAD: Hamilton at BC September 22, 2017

Hamilton is improving compared to their early season performances, but the game starts at 8:00 PM (PDT) which means 11:00 PM and ends around 2:00 PM for Tiger Cat bodies. Eastern teams on west coast trips in all sports tend to have problems with their body clocks. Thus, while Jennings is going through a rough stretch and seems to have lost his confidence, home field advantage, a time warp for Hamilton, and a more talented team gives the Lions team the advantage.

Apparently, the Pussy-Cats travelled to B.C. a day early to help with the time difference acclimation.
I still don't see them winning this game though. (And certainly hope not!)

I don't understand why Eastern teams don't lobby for 1pm starts at home against a Western team. I think it would be an advantage to the Eastern team.

I suspect that TSN's preference is prime time TV. Tomorrow should be +30C and therefore most viewers will be outside during the day and unavailable. Should be in their Easyboy chairs by 7pm. TV eyes rule the CFL these days.

But the Als play almost exclusively 1pm Sundays after Labour Day (2pm on Thanksgiving Monday).

Late game tonight, I don't think I'll stay up for the whole game, but I think Hamilton pulls off the win.

Do you really think so, or are you just clinging to your prediction of Hamilton edging out the Argos for the last playoff spot?

For the record, I will be cheering for the east team over the west team.

BC's played really poorly as of late, and Jennings has been off since returning from injury. Any game Hamilton wins will be close, because while they have looked better as of late, the Ticats still aren't very good IMO.

The new players Alex Green, who ran for 140 yards, and Shamawd Chambers who caught 6 passes for 57 yards were enough to give Hamilton the edge in a 24-23 win.

BC's D looked pretty weak in all phases last night.

Tough to watch Hamilton win like that. As much as I hate to see the West dominate, I don't want to see Hamilton remain "in the hunt" and be trumped up by the likes of Rod Black. They are a 3-9 team because they are a poor team. Horrible looking crowd resulted in Rogers Centre atmosphere in BC last night.

At this point I'm cheering for the east in every game vs the west. If the Argos finish with 6 or 7 wins only, and I think they'l get to 9, then I'm ok with them missing the playoffs. If the let Hamilton finish ahead of them after an 0-8 start, they shouldn't be there anyways. Won't happen anyways. Right now, Ottawa is the team more in jeopardy of being caught. Hamilton is 5 points back, with 2 games in hand and 1 head to head meeting.

Nice game by Masoli and Alex Green, and nice to see another East Division victory.

Rod Black officially has his new golden boy to fawn over, June Jones.
The over the top praise over Jonas's offensive prowess became nauseating pretty quickly.

It's the defence that has gotten better in Hamilton.

I didn't see a Hamilton victory as being out of the realm of possibility either.

BC's D has been overrated since Mark Washington became the DC IMO. The talent is there (even without Bighill) IMO, as it is on offense, but clearly there's something missing or off, and I think it comes down to coaching.

I think it comes down the quarterback's confidence. Jennings put up good stats, but he struggled the closer they got to the end zone.
