I'm trying to plan my trip to Ottawa for Grey Cup weekend.
Does anyone know where/when the Double Blue Party is this year? Is there a Double Blue Party this year?

I don't think there is a specific "Double Blue" party at this year's Grey Cup. You can see all of the planned festivities at http://www.greycupfestival105.ca/
There is no mention of an Argos event.
They're still too busy planning the last one.
However..... if we make it to the big game, that could all change.
For a league struggling to draw young fans, the CFL teams still restrict these Grey Cup parties' attendance to +19 years of age. After pointing this out on many occasions, the Argos found a compromise and opened the first hour to under 19. I guess the rationale is that these parties are drinkfests. Too bad that for most teams, parents have to chose between their kids and their fellow fans.
In 2011, in Vancouver the Argos Bash had Argos Chad Owens, "Pinball" Clemons and Andre Durie. My guy, then 10, more less broke down outside the venue. Only after the Argos came out for some photos was the situation ameliorated.

The Double Blue Party at the Unicorn pub in Calgary in 2009 was the best one that I have attended. It was quite intimate, and all of the players & coaches were in attendance.
It would be a shame if the Argos miss this opportunity.
BTW: The Spirit of Edmonton party--widely considered to be the best of the team parties, looks like it will be a shadow of former self It appears the the organizers have messed up their event. The main party is in a brewpub in the Byward Market with FAR less capacity. The SofE Breakfast is in an entirely different location; it's in a small ballroom at the Delta hotel with half the former capacity.
That's not really fair. Here's the story.

Faster + Louder = Better
Having read the article, I would have to agree that it's not entirely fair. However, the end-result is smaller venues that will leave many of us regulars "out in the cold.".
I haven't missed a SofE Breakfast in nearly 10 years. But I will this year, because the venue is too small to accommodate half the folk who unusually attend.
Still, it's good to know it will be back to normal next year in edmonton
It seems as though info. regarding the Argo party has finally been posted on the Grey Cup Festival's website. The Shipyard At Grey Cup - Argos Team Party will be held Sat. Nov. 25th from 7pm - 1am at Barley Mow on Bank Street.
If the Argos make it to the big game, then seeing players out late at this event is probably not a good sign. ;o)
Trying to picture where the Barley Mow on Bank is? - part of the new Lansdowne maybe - there are a few bars there ?
Edit - just checked - the Barley Mow is a bit south of Lansdowne Park - over the canal bridge and a block or two (?) walk - so easy enough to get to for those attending other GC events at Lansdowne that night.
Who here planning to attend this Argo party ?
Sadly this year my Shipyard at the Grey Cup will be held in my recliner with a six pack.
This is good news, although it conflicts with dinner plans that we've already made.
We are usually a group of eight, and sometimes more. Finding a place to eat on the Sat. evening after partying all day has been a real challenge. Has anyone else had this problem?
