GAME THREAD: Calgary at Hamilton Friday October 13

This should be Calgary's game based on their record and talent, especially with Messam back and Daniels and Jorden likely being available too. The Stampeders seem motivated to stay in top form after losing the Grey Cup last year to a much weaker team on paper. If they can keep that focus tomorrow, it may not even be close.

I cannot assume Hamilton will lose (and therefore put the Argos into a playoff spot) until they lose.

Oh I can. I took Stamps -9.5 and never been more confident of a pick in my life. Blocked punt TD, and well on their way.

Tough way to lose...what a shame. Hamilton will be crying about the refs yet again no doubt.

Only because Calgary's receivers did their best to blow up my point spread ticket. I believe there was some point shaving involved, but the win never in doubt.

The Stamps offence is big-time over-rated and they are quite beatable IMO - as the Ticats just showed. They will abandon the run game if it is stopped early and Mitchell is not having a great year passing - often missing/inaccurate on deep to intermediate throws, and the guy is a cry-baby who finger points at his offensive team-mates for his $hitty plays- he will get rattled or choke in the play-offs - unless of course he is instructed by the mob to shave points ??? - LOL !!!

IMO - it's basically special teams + a solid defence (still over-rated though - Reilly passed for almost 500 yards against them a few games back) that have led to many Stamps wins - 5 return TDs on the season i think it is and often great field position, plus the Maver/Paredes kicking duo is really solid and they don't seem to give up much in the return game either. Good D-line that gets to tee off on dumb, predictable CFL offences helps a lot too.
