James Wilder Jr. has tweeted that he will donate $1 for every yard he gains and $100 for every TD he scores towards breast cancer research. Once again an Argo demonstrates the strong community orientation of the team and its players.

He’s quickly recruited teammates, some CFL cohorts and two of his closest NFL friends, in running backs Chris Thompson (not former CFL DB Chris Thompson) and Devonta Freeman to join his cause, among others.
The timing lines up with the Argos hosting their CFL Pink game on Saturday, where players wear pink on the field to raise breast cancer awareness. ...
Wearing pink brings awareness, but awareness doesn’t do anything if you don’t take action. So I wanted to find a way to take action with people in this league and not just this league, the NFL as well,” Wilder said. “This is just something where we’re all in good positions where we can help out. I just came up with something where us as running backs can all just get money to put toward research.”
