For a semi final, tickets should not be on groupon.
Calgary had empty sections as well, not just an argos problem, but tfc seats are triple the price and sold out for their conference final. If raptors leafs or jays were in a similar series prices would be insane.
Best crowd of the season by far, but by no means are the argos back.
Even after a great game with a great crowd some people are still looking for something to complain about.

There are still tickets available for the TFC conference final on the TFC website. Where do you get this trollish notion that TFC seats are triple the price of Argo playoff tix?

Upper deck TFC seats are 104 bucks, the SSH rate for their light grey section corner sidelines) are 80 bucks. My (comp) seat for a similar semi final said 30 bucks. All week they were pushing midfield east upper deck which came out to 27 after fees on the promo rate.
    Simple facts aren't trolling.
It was a great turnout for the Argos. But the job isn't done, we still have a ways to go to make this a hot ticket

TFC being owned by MLSE helps, where they can push (force) tickets on Leafs/Raps season ticket holders and sponsors. But shhhh, we're not supposed to talk about those things.

It's all about what the market will bear. MLSE has done a great job, albeit by financial burden, to attract support. Someone has to help pay for Giovincos 10 million salary. Fans in MLS cities like Columbus, Colorado and Dallas (who all regularly have under 15k crowds) would think it's crazy/foolish/unbelievable to pay those prices.

Topshelf, that’s $12USD excluding fees. Argos tickets were starting at around $20 from the team IIRC so stubhub was really not any cheaper.

I monitored Stubhub all week as it's a great barometer of wide demand. With conversion accounted for, tickets were at or slightly above face value (with the exception of a few stragglers) until the morning of the game. Virtually every event sees drops on Stubhub in the hours before it occurs. The Eastern Final performed on the site exactly as you'd expect a potential but not sure sell-out to do.

I meant $20 directly from the Argos.

You said originally that TFC tickets were "triple the price" of Argonaut tickets. But you were only talking about one part of the stadium. So your original statement is not a "simple fact" because it's not true.

You do realize that it's already been shown that MLSE uses the Raps and Leafs to sell tickets and sponsorship right ?
So, I'm not sure as to how that's a conspiracy theory, but carry on.

Argos are in the Grey Cup on Sunday and we’re talking about East Final attendance? Really? If there’s a troll attempt it’s lame and not the time or the place, east final was great and we won, Grey Cup is on Sunday and I don’t know whether to be concerned or be excited at the prospect of facing a very good Calgary team.

Wanted to put in a good word to the team and Bell for the STH gift of a warm blue blankie.
    Much appreciated, and thank you.
It was well-timed, as there was a great deal of shivering happening up in sect.226
This is one STH who completely enjoyed the day, tailgate, 1st half dominance, halftime dancers
(even some from Shelburne, yay!) 2nd half faltering, and ultimate clutch drive to win.
    And I emphasize "clutch".
Right up there, for me, with the 1996 and 1997 Pinball/Flutie East Finals, for fun and good times.
Memories I will always keep. GO ARGOS GO!
