I agree that logo is embarrassing. I don't like the football boat logo either, looks it was created by someone on a cocktail of hallucinogenic drugs. I love the plain A, but the A with the bolts is tied for the best logo in all sports. It's just perfect. I love the all white kit. It makes the Argos look like stormtroopers. Er, competent stormtroopers.
As for the big game I have zero expectations. I learned my lesson last year's Grey Cup. Anything can happen. Who knows? Maybe the game won't finish because they ran out of balls again. You never know. I do wish we were playing Kevin Glenn again, because that man is a tire fire in important games.
Just after joining the Alouettes in 2007, Marc Trestman tried to recruit Dave Dickenson as a coach. However, Dickenson declined because he still wanted to play. Quality knows quality.

Didn't mean to derail the thread talking about jerseys. Feels like there isn't much we can do until the game starts. Anyway, if this helps get it back on track, I feel like it's going to be a closely contested battle that might not entertain the casual fan but will be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates a defensive battle. I feel like we match up well on D, at QB, and RB. The only edge I would give Calgary is the ability to make a big play. If the D can take that away it will give the team a chance to win in the last 3 minutes. I can see it happening.
I just don't like any football jerseys with a big logo on the front. Football jerseys should always have only numbers on front and back, with logos on the shoulders, at least IMO. The small numbers make it to difficult to identify players. Agreed, that it is not a bad fan jersey though.
It's us vs the rest of the country
We need a quick start, with a balance on the offense including Wilder's downhill running setting up the vertical passing.
The Argos need to get off to a good start both offensively and defensively on Sunday, they simply cannot allow the Stamps to get into a groove early or it could be a long day.
On the flip side if Ray and the Argos get going early and our D is solid self doubt may creep into the collective minds of the Stampeders especially considering what happened in last years Grey Cup.

I just LOVE the fact that we have this Grey Cup thread on here with the Argos !!!!! Up until 4 or 5 weeks ago I had many doubts the team could make it, but the tail end saw all the players come back healthy and the team on a roll. Clinching first place was the sign that this team would be in the Grey Cup.
After much thought, I will not pursue heading to Ottawa for the game. Complicates too many other things going on in life. Does anyone know if there is a big gathering place for Argo fans to watch the game together???? Now that could be great.
Oh- and my prediction is- Argos, of course, but in a squeaker like last week. Ricky Ray does it again...then we wait to hear if he will retire.

This morning I scanned the Toronto Sun online version, I'm a little out of the way for home delivery, and was shocked to find 3 stories pertaining to the Argos. When was the last time that happened? It made me wonder if after all these years of neglect is there a glimmer of civic pride and support about the Argos again? You guys live there. What's the feel around town?
