How many times have you seen the league go into something, that with a little bit of luck could change their fortunes a bit, and then end up shooting themselves in the foot. I keep waiting for that happen with this GC and yet it doesn't seem to want to happen. Just reading the story about Drake tweeting on the Argos and thinking this is a good thing, every little bit helps.

Even the issues the league and a few teams are facing seem manageable if people (read media) would just let them get on with it.

There's a great line from Carl Erskine of the Brooklyn Dodgers in the doc The Ghosts of Flatbush about how their longstanding bad luck changed on something very small. When the exalted Yankees shortstop Phil Rizzuto was hit by a ball at third and called out the Dodger's luck was beginning to change. Exclaimed Erskine, "That's the things that happen to us" (121:20 - 121:45) Maybe now focus will change to other places where "those things happen" and the CFL will be allowed to go about the business of growing or maybe I'm just dreaming.
