Several of whom the Argos re-acquired for the 1996 Grey Cup victory I believe.

Correct! DBs Ed Berry and Don Wilson and slotback/special teamer J.P. Izquierdo all returned to the Argos for the '96 Grey Cup win.

That Esks 93 GC win should have an asterisk beside it - for the Bombers having to go with Sammy Garza at QB.

It isn't like Dunigan lit up the league in Grey Cup games so it is still possible that the Eskimos would have won that game. Garza starting at QB certainly decreased Winnipeg's chances though.

Mitchell White had a cryptic tweet the other day:

It's certainly possible that means that he's signed and the only place he could've signed right now is Toronto, but we will see if this is the case or he was referring to something different.

It does look like he re-signed, which is great. It would be nice to have some continuity in the secondary for a change.

I asked him on Twitter if he was re-signing with the Argos and he more or less said that we will have to wait and see. Hopefully we know in the next day or two.

If he has resigned with the Argos, he has no doubt been told not to let the cat out of the bag before the official announcement.

With free agency approaching, Devier Posey says his family's views are the most important factor in making a decision on where he goes.

Making sure that his family is happy is the most important thing for the pass-catcher and that will be on his mind before he makes any decision.
“With free agency,” he began. “I’ve never experienced it so I want to, if anything, talk to people that I love and their opinions that I value and put them all in a pot and somewhat formulate a decision for the best choice for me and my family because ultimately that’s what it’s about, making sure my family is happy. It’s not really about money but just making sure they’re happy.”

Former Argo Greg Van Roten has resigned with Carolina so he won't be available to the Argos or other CFL teams at least in the short run.

The Carolina Panthers kicked off some of their off season signings today by coming to terms with center Greg Van Roten. Greg was due to become a restricted free agent this offseason, but played well in both pre-season, on special teams, and his limited spot duty on the offensive line. With a fair amount of uncertainty
Terms of the deal are not immediately known, but are assumed to be very modest. Greg is an interesting prospect moving forward with Ryan Kalil coming to the end of his career, and Andrew Norwell’s future uncertain. At a minimum, he’ll be needed to provide depth, and can do so at both center and guard, making him a good fit for us. As far as his ceiling, there is a lot to be determined. He bounced between the NFL and CFL before coming here, so it is unlikely he’s developed into a guy you want starting full time, but even good career backups are something everyone needs.

Argos negotiation list and 2017 Heisman Trophy winner QB Baker Mayfield had such a strong practice week during the Senior Bowl that he did not risk playing very much. Unfortunately for the Argos, it looks like he could be the Cleveland Browns #1 overall draft pick, meaning it is highly unlikely the Argos will be seeing him any time soon, if ever.

I'm not sure why they felt the need to photoshop his head on Bear Woods body, though.
