Argos have added International DB Ryan Reid, who attended the Los Angeles Chargers 2017 TC, to their roster.

International DB Paul Magioire who attended Tampa Bay's 2017 TC has signed with the Argos.

Interesting. I'm not sure how seriously to take that article; $75K seems high. In case anyone else was wondering, though, "Spur" = LB/Safety and "Bandit" = LB/DE.
I thought so too, especially when another Wildcat, WR/RB Samajie Grant, who also attended a NFL TC as an undrafted free agent, just signed with the BC Lions for $54,000, according to the same website (see below). NFL undrafted free agents who do not have teams banging at their door are not very likely to get much more than than the league minimum. Maybe Magliore is doing a Trumpian sales job on his alma mater in reporting what he signed for.

A few thousand more, maybe. Not 20K more.
CFL salaries are the subject of all sorts of conjecture, guessing & gossip. Some fans seem obsessed with CFL salaries and will quote "reported" figures like they are fact. A certain fan site features a whole cult of - Canadians are so over-paid due to the unfair "market" of the CFL = we must reduce or get rid of the ratio - and a$$ume they could be easily replaced by an endless number of import superstars who would gladly play for league minimum. Their cry-babying over this i find sickening to laughable; and the same cult are crickets about the highest paid CFL jobs (QBs) being reserved for basically Americans only in the CFL for decades now.
I doubt this guy is making $75k either; most likely the league minimum instead. The article spins it like the Argos outbid the NFL for him.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
It is no concern of mine how much Jim Popp signs players for. He has a cap to work with and make everyone fit in it. If Magioire is getting 75,000 more power to him, maybe that included a signing bonus. If so maybe an indication of how the Coaches feel of his ability. Magioire is listed at being 6'1 227 which tells me they are thinking of him as a LB in the CFL more than a DB.
Quite. He's nowhere near fast enough to play DB in the CFL.

We are amassing some huge talent with big college careers at the WR position. Between Chris Harper, Rodney Smith and Jordan Westerkamp we are going to find an excellent replacement for Devier Posey, and hopefully more. Is there room for two rookie INT WR on the roster this year?
