Curious; maybe Walters & co. think Wally and Mr, Ed will bomb so bad that the Bummers end up with the 1st overall pick for next season? Laval DE Matt Betts will be up next draft and he may be arguably the best Canadian DE prospect since Brent Johnson came out of Ohio State to be a CFL all-star DE with a HOF career ? Betts rumoured to draw some NFL interest though.

The list of Nationals with dual citizenship added to the CFL Draft keeps getting longer. The latest is Zack Mahoney, a QB ranked 65th out of 101 QBs by draft scout.com. It's time to redefine National.

Syracuse University pivot Zack Mahoney has been included on the list of eligible players for Thursday night’s pick-fest. The 6-foot-2, 192 pounder is originally from LaGrange Park, Illinois but has dual citizenship. 20 NFL teams were at the Syracuse pro day and one CFL franchise.
Mahoney played one season of junior college ball before transferring to Syracuse and making the team as a walk-on. He began as the fifth-stringer but started four games, then served as the back up his last two seasons. Overall, Mahoney played in 25 career games, starting nine, and threw for 1,949 yards and 18 touchdowns against 10 interceptions with a 53 percent completion percentage. He added 100 carries for 242 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

OL Tyler Johstone will be eligible for the 2018 CFL Supplemental Draft because of his dual citizenship. After going unselected in the 2016 NFL Draft, the University of Oregon second team All-American was signed by the Chargers but spent the season on the injury reserve list before being released in April 2017.
