If anyone has seen CFL Wired on TSN - Week 1 - You may have seen Jerome Messam call the Argos "Clowns, who stole one from me(us)"

I expect the same sentiment to be shared by the Stampeders - expect the emotions to be high.

Argos need to be on point - particularly the offensive line protection in protecting Ricky Ray.

I expect that the team will shake off the rust and play better on offense.

I guess he needs to do that to motivate himself, since he doesn’t have a GC ring!!
And I think the Clowns fumbled the ball in that game!!! And the all-star Clown QB threw a duck that was intercepted!!!!!

Maybe he can stop by the Shipyard and pick up a replica ring?

That's exactly what I was going to post. In fact if I was able to attend (I can't) and I was lucky enough to get one of those rings I would be quite willing to mail it to him. Hell, send him all 6000.

Before everyone gets bent out of shape remember Messam is no longer a Stampeder. Save your vitriol for when the Roughriders come for town.
Having said that I am sure some of the current Stamps are looking for a little revenge even if they won't admit it. " New season" . "Past is past" " Blah Blah Blah"

The Argo offence should be more in synch, but they will need against Calgary, who will playing with a big chip on their shoulder.

calgary will be out for revenge and ray/trestman need to go downfield more
ray is NOT the 2nd coming of calvillo and argos dont have a possession receiver like ben cahoon
5 yd passes are not going to beat a vengeful stamps team

No, he is better than Calvillo, IMO. And all we seem to have at the moment are possession receivers, albeit none quite like Cahoon.

TOR DEL INT Brian TYMS (WR) Florida A&M

    That didn't take long.

The Argos will play better but the Stamps are always tough.

The team has moved Rodney Smith from the PR to the Active Roster and put Tyms on the PR in Smith's place. Though I have no problem with the move, it does appear to be a quick decision. I wonder what the coaches saw in the game film that prompted the move?

With Ford unlikely to play against Calgary, either Kenneh or Washington will take his place. Personally I'd like to see Washington given a chance to prove himself, after his excellent TC and pre-season games.

Frank Z. in the Sun wrote that Tyms messed up a route early in the game.

Tyms is not a guy who can stretch defences, IMO. More of an SJ Green type, but without Green's track record. Smith is a huge target who showed good hands in the second preseason game. Nothing to lose and possibly a lot to be gained from this switch.

Can he stretch the defence though? That's what that receiving corps lacks right now.

Agreed, and it's TBD if Smith provides that threat. But well worth a try IMO.
