    Argos Road Trip Ottawa feeler

    Good Afternoon,

Just putting out a feeler here on potentially chartering a bus out to Ottawa for the Game on Friday November 2nd.

I have got back quotes from both the RedBlacks and a Coach. We would be looking at about $99 + HST for tickets in Section Y and return bus same day. Thinking of Leaving Toronto Around 10:00 and returning after the game.

    Thoughts?

Overdue that someone arranges something like this so thanks for doing this!

I don't know if I can commit yet given that it is a weekday. I haven't decided if I'm going to go to Grey Cup this year and I need to decide on that first because I'd need to figure out vacation days at work, etc.

All good, Right now just trying to get a rough idea if we would have about 50 people who could commit. These trips can be a bit risky in terms of the money that the organizer needs to commit up front. I would not mind doing it once a year to Montreal or Ottawa.

Yes, thank you for looking into putting this together.
I have yet to attend a CFL game other than BMO Field and Tim Horton’s Field/Ivor Wynne, so this would be great!

I am the same situation as Will unfortunately - it would depend on the ability to get the time off, which is unsure at this point.

It doesn’t help that the previous weekend I am in Chicago to attend the Wisconsin Badgers/Northwestern Wildcats game on Saturday and the New York Jets/Chicago Bears game on Sunday, plus the November 4 Chicago Bears at Buffalo Bills game.

    Love me some football!

    Has potential.
The Old Faithfulls did this a few years back actually it was the Argos and the Renegades their last game before they went defunct and we had a full bus.
The only difference was and perhaps I can suggest a one night hotel stay and then leaving the following morning.
Gives people a chance to relax at the wonderful Ottawa market place instead of the whopping 8+ hours on the bus plus 3 additional hours of sitting at the game.

for this first trip, I am planning to keep it affordable and simple. When I looked at the costs for doing an overnight it became a little on the high end as you have to pay for the driver's accommodation etc. My goal for this one is pretty simple to fill a 56 passenger bus and build on that for 2019. I know it's not ideal but the lower price will help ensure filling the bus

I work for Flight Centre and everything would be fun through the agency for insurance purposes but if this goes well I will have more leeway in 2019 to build upon this for future CFL related trips.

I can't do that week... hoping I can do a game in Hamilton... and hopefully Montreal this year... but can't say for sure just yet.... Would be nice to link up informally at a pub or tail gate etc.... sit in same section... for these eastern road games.... I am pretty busy but keep me in the loop and if time permits I would be interested next time ?

I have been to about three Argo games in Ottawa since the rebirth. But they have all been in the summer. I think I will have to pass this year. November 2nd in Ottawa. Brrrrr

I will go if we get enough people to do it. Too bad it is November. Maybe next year a trip to Montreal. I go there for an Argo game every year already ( next week for example) and I think you'd get more people up for that. Ottawa is a great place for football as the atmosphere there is fantastic. Keep us informed. (I am retired, so no need to worry about booking time off)
